21 day no meat fast

We understand your desire to draw closer to God through this 21-day fast from meat, seeking spiritual clarity and intervention in legal matters. Fasting is a powerful biblical discipline that humbles us before the Lord and sharpens our spiritual sensitivity. Jesus Himself fasted for 40 days, and throughout Scripture, fasting is paired with prayer as a way to seek God’s face and align our hearts with His will.

Let us first affirm that your pursuit of spiritual growth through fasting is commendable. The Bible tells us in **Matthew 6:16-18 (WEB)**, *"Moreover when you fast, don’t be like the hypocrites, with sad faces. For they disfigure their faces, that they may be seen by men to be fasting. Most certainly I tell you, they have received their reward. But you, when you fast, anoint your head, and wash your face; so that you are not seen by men to be fasting, but by your Father who is in secret, and your Father, who sees in secret, will reward you."* Your fast is between you and God, and He sees the sincerity of your heart.

We also want to encourage you to pair this fast with fervent prayer and the study of God’s Word. Fasting without prayer is merely dieting, but when combined with seeking God, it becomes a powerful tool for breakthrough. **Isaiah 58:6-9 (WEB)** speaks to the kind of fast God honors: *"Isn’t this the fast that I have chosen: to release the bonds of wickedness, to undo the straps of the yoke, to let the oppressed go free, and that you break every yoke? Isn’t it to distribute your bread to the hungry, and that you bring the poor who are cast out to your house? When you see the naked, that you cover him; and that you not hide yourself from your own flesh? Then your light will break out as the morning, and your healing will appear quickly; then your righteousness shall go before you; and Yahweh’s glory will be your rear guard. Then you will call, and Yahweh will answer; you will cry, and he will say, ‘Here I am.’"* Let your fast be accompanied by acts of righteousness, compassion, and justice, especially as you seek intervention in your legal matters.

Now, let us address the matter of your litigations. We do not know the specifics of your situation, but we know that God is a God of justice and righteousness. **Psalm 37:5-6 (WEB)** says, *"Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this: he will make your righteousness go out as the light, and your justice as the noon day sun."* We encourage you to trust God’s timing and His perfect justice, even when the circumstances seem overwhelming. Pray for wisdom, discernment, and favor in your legal matters, and ask God to reveal any areas where you may need to repent or make amends.

We also want to gently remind you that fasting and prayer are not magical formulas to manipulate God into giving us what we want. They are acts of worship and surrender, where we lay down our desires and seek His will above all else. **James 4:3 (WEB)** warns us, *"You ask, and don’t receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it for your pleasures."* As you fast, continually surrender your desires to God and ask Him to align your heart with His purposes.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this dear brother/sister who is seeking You through this 21-day fast. Lord, we ask that You would strengthen them physically, emotionally, and spiritually as they deny their flesh to draw closer to You. Help them to fix their eyes on You and not grow weary in this time of seeking. Open their spiritual eyes, Lord, that they may see You more clearly, love You more dearly, and follow You more nearly.

Father, we also bring before You the legal matters weighing on their heart. We ask that You would intervene in these situations according to Your perfect will. Give them wisdom, discernment, and favor in the eyes of those who have authority over these matters. Let Your justice prevail, and let Your righteousness shine forth. If there are areas where repentance or restitution is needed, reveal them, Lord, and give them the courage to act in obedience.

We rebuke any spirit of fear, anxiety, or discouragement that may be trying to take hold during this time. We declare that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (**2 Timothy 1:7 WEB**). Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and let them rest in the assurance that You are in control.

Lord, we ask that You would bless this fast and make it fruitful for Your kingdom. May it be a time of deep spiritual renewal, where old strongholds are broken, and new levels of faith are attained. Let Your presence go before them in every area of their life, and may they experience Your goodness and faithfulness in ways they have never known before.

We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, the name above all names, the only name by which we can be saved and have access to You. Thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer and for Your unfailing love. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Continue to press into God during this fast, dear one. Seek Him with all your heart, and He will be found by you (**Jeremiah 29:13 WEB**). Let this time be one of deep communion with the Lord, and trust that He is working all things together for your good (**Romans 8:28 WEB**). If you have not already, we encourage you to surrender your life fully to Jesus Christ, for He is the way, the truth, and the life, and no one comes to the Father except through Him (**John 14:6 WEB**). If you have not made that decision, we would love to guide you in that most important step. God bless you, and may He richly reward your faithfulness.

Hey there,

Just wanted to drop you a line and let you know we're right there with you in this 21-day fast. It's not easy, but it's so worth it to draw closer to God and seek His intervention in your legal matters. We're cheering you on!

You know, sometimes when we're fasting, it can feel like we're in a spiritual timeout, but it's actually the opposite. It's a time to get alone with God, to listen, and to let Him speak to our hearts. It's like going on a spiritual retreat, just you and Him.

We want to encourage you to keep pressing in, even when it gets tough. Remember, Jesus fasted for 40 days, and He understands what you're going through. He's right there with you, every step of the way.

Also, don't forget to ask for wisdom and discernment in your legal matters. God promises in James 1:5-6, "If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you." So, keep asking!

And hey, if you need someone to pray with you or talk to, we're here for you. Let's fight this battle together, in the name of Jesus.

Keep going, you're doing great! We believe in you.

In Jesus' love,
###
