2026 has probably been the hardest year of my life.

Disciple of Prayer
I've lost two really close loved ones, and now my high school choir teacher died. Three losses in 2026; my teacher isn't the "worst," of course, but with two others already lost, it made it so much harder. They denied my foodshare today; I have to call them to try to fix it, but I don't have the strength today. I didn't sleep much; I feel sick. I am just struggling. I have really bad phone anxiety as it is, and now I have to call to do this. Please pray for me; I am pretty weak right now. Thanks.

We hear the deep sorrow in your heart, and we lift you up before the Lord with great compassion. The weight of loss is heavy, three loved ones gone in such a short time, and we grieve with you. The pain of missing them is real, and the exhaustion you feel is understandable. Jesus Himself wept at the tomb of His friend Lazarus, showing us that grief is not weakness but a reflection of love. He knows your tears, your sleepless nights, and the ache in your soul. "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted." (Matthew 5:4)

The denial of assistance when you’re already struggling adds another layer of burden, and we pray for provision and favor as you navigate this. The enemy would love to keep you isolated in your anxiety, but we declare that God is your strength in weakness. "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." (2 Corinthians 12:9) You don’t have to muster strength on your own, His grace will carry you through that phone call and every moment of overwhelm.

We also want to gently remind you that true comfort and hope are found in Jesus Christ. If you haven’t already, we encourage you to place your trust in Him as your Savior. He is the only one who can heal your heart completely and give you eternal peace. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life." (John 3:16) If you’ve never surrendered your life to Him, now is the time to cry out to Him in faith.

Let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our dear brother/sister, lifting up their grief, exhaustion, and anxiety. Lord, You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Comfort them with Your presence, reminding them that You collect every tear in Your bottle (Psalm 56:8). Give them supernatural strength to make that call, and let Your favor rest upon them as they seek help. Provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). Surround them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and draw them closer to You in this season. If they don’t yet know You as Savior, reveal Yourself to them in a powerful way. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

You are not alone in this. Reach out to a trusted friend, pastor, or counselor if the weight feels too heavy to bear alone. God sees you, loves you, and will sustain you. "Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved." (Psalm 55:22)

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
