๐Ÿ™ God, You are Our Father and Ever Present Help, Deut 4:7, Ps 46:1, Isa 41:10 -- Thank you for the message of The LORD's ANOINTED crucified for our sins, Gal 2:20. Draw our family members whenever doors are open (and frankly they're not open enough, amen)? Bless pastors first to war against prayerlessness in our own lives and give faith to pray, seek with all our heart to hear, listen and understand, Matt 16:17, what You are speaking to each one, Jn 16:13. Grant YOUR MANIFEST HOLY PRESENCE, faith, repentance, salvation, knowledge of the forgiveness of sins and newness of life -- give vision, Prov 29:18, by The Holy Spirit. Protect them all from the evil one, John 17:15, who loves "lack of knowledge," Hos 4:6, Amos 8:11. As often as they eat the bread and take the cup, 1Cor 14:26, not as seldomly or if ever get around to it, amen?

๐ŸผGrant us hunger for The Word, 1 Peter 2:2, Holy Spirit of Revelation, Eph 1:17, Flesh and Blood does not reveal Messiah, Matt 16:17, but OUR FATHER in Heaven! We join you in this burden for the church and for those who stand to preach and teach the Word, and we agree together before the Father in Jesus' name for exactly what you have laid out.

We hear your cry that church leaders would give themselves to prayer and to the study of the Word, that they would watch their lives and doctrine closely. This is the very charge of Scripture, for it is written 1 Tim 4:16 Pay attention to yourself and to your teaching. Continue in these things, for in doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you. And again 2 Tim 4:2 Preach the word. Be urgent in season and out of season. Reprove, rebuke, and exhort with all patience and teaching. We pray that pastors who may be lost or prayerless would be saved, that the Holy Spirit would convict and convert, for Jesus said John 16:8 When he has come, he will convict the world about sin, about righteousness, and about judgment, and John 16:13 that the Spirit of truth will guide you into all truth.

We agree that the church must be a place of Holy Spirit worship and real Bible teaching and preaching of repentance from sin. Jesus began His preaching with Matt 4:17 Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand, and Peter preached Acts 2:38 Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Without the foundation of repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ there is no true salvation, and without the anointing of the Holy Spirit the word comes in word only. But we desire as you do that it would come as it is written 1 Thess 1:5 our Good News came to you not in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit, and with much assurance.

We lift up pastors and preachers that they would seek God in daily devotion and preparation and intercession for the congregation, that they would be sound in teaching, faithful in visiting families and individuals, leading prayer meetings and house churches, hungering for the Word as newborn babies crave pure milk as in 1 Pet 2:2, and seeking the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him Eph 1:17. We pray that God would open minds to understand the Scriptures as He did in Luke 24:45, for flesh and blood does not reveal Christ but our Father in heaven Matt 16:17, and that faith would come by hearing Rom 10:17.

We pray also for the families drawn to the church, that the Father would draw them as Jesus promised John 6:44 No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him, and that they would not forsake assembling together Heb 10:25, but would gather often as the early church did Acts 2:42, receiving with humility the implanted word which is able to save your souls Jam 1:21, worshiping in spirit and truth John 4:24 with the anointing that comes from the Holy One 1 John 2:20 and taught by the Helper whom the Father sent John 14:26.

We ask for safety across the globe and for warnings of attacks even as Elisha warned Israel in 2 Kings 6:8-12, for we claim the promise Ps 91:11 He will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways, and Ps 91:12 they will bear you up in their hands, and John 17:15 that Jesus prayed not that we be taken out of the world but that we be kept from the evil one, and 2 Thess 3:3 But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one. We pray God would keep His people from distraction and deception 2 Cor 11:3 and Matt 24:4, from temptation Luke 11:4, from false teachers Titus 1:16 and 2 Tim 3:5 who hold a form of godliness but deny its power, from deceivers 2 Tim 3:13 and from fear and lies Zeph 3:13, for our God is an ever present help Ps 46:1 and near to all who call upon Him Deut 4:7, and He says Isa 41:10 Don't you be afraid, for I am with you.

We thank You Father for the message of Your Anointed crucified for our sins Gal 2:20, and we rejoice that You desire all people to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth 1 Tim 2:4 and are not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance 2 Pet 3:9, and that to as many as believe on the name of Jesus and call upon Him, they and their households may be saved Acts 16:31.

So together we pray, Father, grant to Your shepherds a hunger to pray and to hear what You are speaking to each one, give them vision lest the people cast off restraint Prov 29:18, grant Your manifest holy presence, faith, repentance, salvation and the knowledge of the forgiveness of sins and newness of life. Protect the flock from lack of knowledge Hos 4:6 and from a famine of hearing the Word Amos 8:11. Help them to come whenever the doors are open to eat the bread and drink the cup and to hear the Word preached, not seldomly but often and in faith. Give faith to pray and to receive Mark 11:24, and as we ask according to Your will we have confidence that You hear us 1 John 5:14. Seek and save the lost Luke 19:10, draw them by Your Spirit, and keep them from the evil one Matt 6:13. We ask that our prayers would not be anxious but with thanksgiving would be made known to You, and Your peace which surpasses all understanding will guard our hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus Phil 4:6-7. All these things we ask in the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved Acts 4:12, and apart from Him we have no access to the Father John 14:6. Amen.

Thank you for bringing such a faithful burden before the Lord. We can hear how much you love the church and long to see leaders walking closely with God, congregations hearing the truth with open hearts, and families drawn back to worship.

It is a heavy and beautiful thing to carry this kind of intercession. Pastors often carry unseen pressures as they prepare, study, visit and pray for others, and your prayers for their devotional lives and for fresh strength in prayer and study matter more than you may see. The same is true for those who have not yet come to faith, both in and outside the pulpit. God hears the quiet, steady prayers offered for them.

One simple way to keep this burden from feeling overwhelming is to narrow it a little. You might choose two or three pastors or leaders by name and commit to praying for them regularly through the week, and when you can, send a brief note of encouragement to let them know you are praying. That personal connection often strengthens a leader as much as the prayer itself.

We join you in asking for hunger for God's Word, for worship that is real and alive, and for safety for His people wherever they gather.

Father, we lift these pastors, teachers and congregations to You. Draw each one closer to Yourself, deepen their time in Your Word and in prayer, guard them from discouragement and from the evil one, and bring those who are still far off to repentance and new life in Christ. Fill Your churches with Your presence and keep Your people safe as they meet. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

Your prayer has come before the church and we have heard in it a true burden for the glory of God in His house. It is right that you should plead for pastors and preachers, for families and for the lost who sit under the Word and yet know it not in power. We join our hearts with yours and carry these petitions to the throne of grace, where our great High Priest ever lives to intercede for His own.

We pray first as you have asked, that the Lord would grant unto ministers a true repentance and a living faith, for these two graces are inseparable. Repentance which ejects sin as an evil tenant and faith which admits Christ to be sole Master of the heart must go together. We do not preach repentance as a condition which man fulfills to earn salvation, for there are no conditions of salvation in that sense. Repentance is a blessed grace of the Holy Spirit, and faith is His gift also. Christ who was nailed to the cross for sin is exalted to give repentance unto life, that hatred of sin and turning from it which is the germ and token of eternal salvation. Apart from divine grace, judgments and terrors may produce a kind of repentance, a short lived remorse which turns from sin for a season and then returns with greater gusto, but this is not the repentance unto life which preserves the soul through this temporary state and prepares it for glory. We ask the Lord to work in pastors and in hearers that broken heart which He will not despise, a heart that cries, Wash me thoroughly, cleanse me, restore unto me the joy of Thy salvation.

We pray that repentance and remission of sins may be preached in the name of Jesus, and not in word only but in power and in the Holy Spirit and with full conviction. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God, and the Holy Spirit must open minds to understand the Scriptures and convict and convert the soul. We ask that our pulpits may not be places of entertainment or of worldly wisdom, but places where Christ crucified is set forth, where the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God is laid plainly, where men are called to believe on Him who alone can save, for whoever believes on Him shall not be ashamed. By Him all that believe are justified from all things from which they could not be justified by the law of Moses.

We plead the pastoral prayer of Christ Himself for the preservation and unity of His people. He prays for them because they belong to the Father, and we ask that He would keep from the evil one all who hear the Word, and keep them from distraction and deception and false teaching and the lies of the enemy. We ask for safety across the globe according to His promise to give His angels charge, yet we know our truest safety is to be kept within the fold by the Shepherd who will not let His sheep be plucked from His hand.

For families we pray with special earnestness. A family is not born a church, and children born into a household are not born into the kingdom. Happy is the household which meets morning and evening for prayer, where the Word is read and believed with the humility which saves the soul. We ask the Father who alone reveals His Son, not by flesh and blood but by His Spirit, to draw your family members and ours when the doors are open, to give them hunger for the sincere milk of the Word, to grant them to receive the Word in faith and to walk in the Spirit and in truth. May the love of the world and its sports and shows and weariness no longer keep them from assembling together as the manner of some is, but may they be found often in the house of God, continuing steadfastly in the apostles doctrine and in fellowship and in prayers.

We pray also that pastors may be men of prayer and of the Word, given to intercession for their congregations, diligent in study, sound in teaching, faithful in visiting families and in prayer meetings and in the work of the house churches, that they may watch over souls as they that must give account. May the Lord deliver them from prayerlessness and give them faith to seek Him with the whole heart, to listen to what He speaks and to feed the flock with knowledge and understanding.

We lay these things before our Father and ever present Help, trusting not in our much asking but in His promise that when we ask according to His will He hears us. He wills that none should perish but that all should come to repentance and to the knowledge of the truth, and He sent His Son to seek and to save the lost. To Him we look for manifest presence, for faith and repentance, for the forgiveness of sins and newness of life, for vision and for holiness, for protection and for perseverance, until all whom He has given to the Son are gathered home.

May the Lord answer according to His abundant mercy, and may His name be glorified in our midst.
