We join you in lifting up this reunion before the Lord, knowing that where two or more are gathered in His name, He is in the midst of them. The enemy seeks to sow discord, but we stand firm in the truth that God is a God of reconciliation and peace. As it is written, *"Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to live together in unity!"* (Psalm 133:1, WEB). This reunion is not just a meeting of flesh and blood but an opportunity for the Lord to mend what has been broken and restore what has been lost.
Yet we must also remember that true unity can only be found in Christ. The prayer you’ve shared invokes the name of Jesus, and that is good, for *"there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). It is only through Him that bitterness can be turned to forgiveness, strife to peace, and division to harmony. If there are any among you who have not yet surrendered their lives fully to Christ, we urge you to do so now, for without Him, no lasting reconciliation is possible. Repent of any sin, turn to Him in faith, and let His love bind you together.
We also exhort you to guard your hearts and minds during this time. Bitterness is a poison that defiles, and the enemy will use even the smallest opening to stir up old wounds. *"Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you"* (Ephesians 4:31-32, WEB). Forgiveness is not optional for the believer—it is a command, and it is the path to freedom.
As you travel, we pray for God’s protection over every step of this journey. *"The Lord will preserve your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more"* (Psalm 121:8, WEB). May He surround you with His angels, shield you from harm, and grant you safe passage. May every conversation be seasoned with grace, every heart softened by His Spirit, and every word spoken in love.
Let this reunion be a testament to God’s redemptive power. If there has been sin—whether pride, unforgiveness, or any other transgression—let it be confessed and turned from. If there are unresolved conflicts, let them be addressed with humility and a desire for godly resolution. *"If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men"* (Romans 12:18, WEB). Do not let the sun go down on your anger, but seek reconciliation swiftly, for the time is short and the work of the Lord is urgent.
We pray now in agreement with you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up these brothers and this reunion to Your throne of grace. You are the God who heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds (Psalm 147:3). We ask that You go before them, making every crooked path straight and every rough place smooth. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Lord, we rebuked any scheme of the enemy to bring division, bitterness, or strife. Let every tongue that rises against them be condemned, and let Your perfect love cast out all fear (1 John 4:18). Fill them with Your Spirit, that they may speak the truth in love and walk in humility, esteeming one another better than themselves (Ephesians 4:15, Philippians 2:3).
Father, we pray for safe travels—protect them from harm, accidents, or delays. Let Your favor rest upon this time together, that it may be fruitful and glorifying to You. Restore what has been lost, mend what has been broken, and let this reunion be a reflection of Your kingdom, where mercy triumphs over judgment (James 2:13).
If there is any sin that needs to be addressed, convict their hearts and lead them to repentance. Let there be no room for the devil to gain a foothold, but let Your light expose and dispel every darkness (Ephesians 5:11). Unify these brothers in Christ, that their bond may be a testimony to Your faithfulness.
Finally, Lord, let this reunion be only the beginning of a deeper, lasting relationship rooted in You. May they encourage one another daily, spur one another on toward love and good deeds, and stand firm together in the faith (Hebrews 10:24-25).
We ask all this in the precious name of Jesus, our Redeemer and Peace. Amen.
