Marriage

Dear Lord,

Thank You for Your beautiful creation. Thank You for the many opportunities You give us to enjoy Your creation and each other. We pray we would be intentional to have more fun with each other. We pray we would share a desire to explore Your creation, to discover the wonder of nature, to spend time with each other outdoors. We pray we would laugh more, interact more, and converse more with each other. We pray we would find ways to incorporate fun into our work and daily life...

 

Most health experts agree: Kegels are good for your pelvic floor health. And a healthy pelvic floor can prevent or help with incontinence and pain or discomfort during sex, while potentially improving arousal and orgasm.

Please help us to manage healthy lifestyles so that we are fit and able to do more ministry for Your Kingdom as You need us. May You be glorified by the temples of our bodies and how we live in faithfulness to You in Jesus’ name AMEN...

Thank You for Your patience with us. Thank You for loving us and leading us with patience. We pray we would be patient with one another. We pray we would walk and talk slowly with each other. We pray we would be slow to get angry or offended. We pray we would be quick to forgive and quick to reconcile when there is an offense. Please help us to have more patience in marriage so that we show one another true love and honor You in Jesus’ name AMEN!

I was listening to a podcast this morning as I was on my morning walk. It was about how the science of relationships work. And one of the things that really stuck out to me was the person being interviewed kept saying, “If you want to have a happy relationship, here is what your partner needs to do.”

But here’s why that’s not helpful, and doesn’t work. Because you can’t control what your spouse or your partner does. You can only control what you do.
