Dear God,

Thank You for the gift of marriage. Thank You for my husband. We have grown so much together and I know we have matured in the way that we talk to each other. I pray that as the years continue on, we would grow to communicate with each other even better. I pray for mutual respect and deep understanding. I pray we would seek peace and pursue it whenever we communicate. Help us to be vulnerable and to trust each other with the important stuff in Jesus’ name AMEN!​

Dear Heavenly Father,

This world is crazy, chaotic, and quick. Everything is fast pace, problems compile, issues simmer, and there seems to be no time to address much of anything, let alone just rest. Evil parades around and takes lives. Terrorism strikes fear in the hearts of everyone. Please give us peace among the chaos in life. I pray that in our culture and in the time we have, we would make it a priority to rest in Your peace. To comfort others who are going through a rough time...​

 

Quick note: I’m on Day 21 of not feeling well. No lie. I’ve had two Covid-19 tests, both negative, and my primary care physician is now playing Dr. Gregory House, trying to diagnose a weird set of symptoms that include extreme fatigue and brain fog—which have made it difficult to get work done. I’ll be fine, but when I’m gone from my site and communities for a while, I like to explain my absence.

Please guide both husbands and wives in how they respond to each other. May Your peace fall upon them. May Your power humble them and show them how to resolve the conflict.
