First let me say, I love the Bahamas. I am an island girl, I love crab, that you have to dig up out of the holes in the ground, not into craw fish or lobster. I love my fish with the head on, the eyeballs, tongue & brain are very tasty. I love to smell the fish & conch around the docks. I love the accent & colloquialism. I love the smallness of the island, the small public transportation, jammed neighborhoods with lots of small kids playing in the street. You can walk out on the street & wait for another Bahamian to come along if you want someone to talk to, you don't have to know them. The fact that 'all a we are one' - is a true statement makes it mandatory to be careful how you to treat those you do not know, they are either family...
