Use Satan As Your Memo Pad. Every time you enter yourprayer time, satan will remind you of something you forgot to do. It may be a telephone call to make, an email to send, but it is designed to break your focus. Keep a memo pad and penhandy as you pray. When satan reminds you of something, simply write it down for later. Then say, “Thank you satan for being my memo pad.†Now, relax and enjoy your time with God. “Lest satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices,†(2 Corinthians 2:11).
YOUR STILL LORD For as long as I can remember I have always heard about and been a believer in Jesus. One of my earliest memories as a child was asking mom and dad how to be saved? I wanted to know for sure that I would go to heaven to be with Jesus my Lord when I died. We were taught the Bible daily and my parents made sure we went to church every Sunday, mid week service and sometimes we would even go to cottage prayer meetings in some of their friends homes. Looking back, these things were truly a blessing to me. I didn't always appreciate these blessings at the time being a child, but my parents were giving me a solid foundation to stand on and live by for life, and for that I will always be grateful. My parents truly...
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. -Proverbs 3:5-6 Some times we try to know the will of God but are clouded by the desires of our own flesh, and we hear our own voices and think it is Him. Then, when what was presumed doesn't come to pass, we think that the Lord has broken His promises. At least, that's what I have done at times, but God has been so gentle and patient with my tantrums and guided me back towards the mind of Christ in those matters. There are other times, when I have heard God speak long ago, and the words seemed significantly irrelevant to my life at the time to the point where I could have easily written...
"A person can do nothing better than to eat and drink and find satisfaction in their own toil. This too, I see, is from the hand of God" Ecc. 2:24 Whereas I don't quote Ecclesiastes often, there is a certain truth in the verse above which is echoed in the New Testament, "Work as unto the Lord not Man," and, "in whatever your hand finds to do do it with all your heart." But if one is tithing, there is a sense of fulfillment in advancing the Kingdom (providing you find a church with the interests of God in mind, not man). Tithing extends the Kingdom and rebukes the devourer (Malachi). Prayer asks God's blessings on the workplace so one can enjoy a small microcosm of the kingdom even in the world, with favor and open doors to...
The Greatest Treasure Matthew 5:45 That you may be the children of your Father who is in heaven: for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. The Lord has spoken a very important principle in this scripture which I think we sometimes tend to overlook. Many believe and even teach that if someone acquires material possessions or is blessed enough to have good health, then God has surely given them favor, and that if someone is undergoing extreme trials, it must be because they have sinned or that they lack faith. But the Lord says that the sun rises and the rain falls on both the righteous and the unrighteous alike. A life of good circumstances does not...
Church, do you have the gift of tongues?? If u do then read on, if u don't then u should because it is such an advantage over the enemy of our souls!. He doesn't want you praying or speaking in tongues because even the scripture emphasizes it.: Pursue love, yet desire earnestly spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy. Paul says i'm glad i speak in tongues more than Ya'll. Saul was once a terrorist to the church you can say. But God knew he could use him mightily, and turned him into Paul. And what does Apostle Paul now say to the church in Corinth? For anyone who speaks in a tongue does not speak to people but to God. Indeed, no one understands them; they utter mysteries by the Spirit. 1 Corinthians 14:2. So we're not...
(Genesis 8:22) "As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will never cease." There is a purpose and process for everything God does, he is not a God of disorder. (I Corinthians 14:33) “For God is not a God of disorder but of peace--as in all the congregations of the Lord's people.†On the 3rd day, Jesus rose from the dead, but to get to the 3rd day there has to be a 1st and 2nd day. On the first day he died. We are all living in sin before coming to Jesus as our Savior. (Romans 3:23) “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.†On the 3rd day, Jesus rose from the dead to life! That is a promise for us as well, but in order to receive it, we must die to self...
Father in Heaven (That God would be known as both The Father of Jesus Christ and known as personal Father), Your Name be Honored (Spoken of highly and praised not cursed), Your Kingdom Come (2nd Coming & Increase of the Kingdom on earth throughout the world especially the 10/40 window); Your Will be done on earth like Heaven (Everyone worshiping and using their lives for God's purpose and Glory). Give our daily Bread (Meet our specific needs abundantly through the ordinary means of employment AND Relieve World Hunger amongst Christians so they can "remember the poor" [Acts, Galatians, Isaiah 58]), Forgive our debts (Evangelism, Preaching about the Justice of God, belief in Christ's sacrifice in our stead, His resurrection, our...
Well fellow Christians I am adding some news to my blog. I have not been visiting the site as often as I should and yet today God's prompting was so strong I could not find a reason not to. I can be forgetful, think I'm too busy or find a job that I have been putting off for far too long. Today was different. And as soon as I logged on and started to read the prayers of fellow Christians I felt God beside me. Filling my mind with His love He has for me, the sinner I am. I am blessed with Kathryn and all of the children. I pray Kathryn finds God again and that Gwenllian feels Our Lord's presence in her life and yes enjoy science but also believes God gave her life. To no longer believe in the big bang theory and that God's love and power...
Secrets The Old Saints Knew Many years ago as a young Christian, I saw the old saints go into the House God with one thing on their mind, they went seeking the presence of God. I really didn't understand at that time all that was taking place, but over the years I have learned. Those saints knew something that seems to be missing in this day and time. They knew if they diligently pursued God and His will they already had the petitions they asked for. 1 John 5:14-15 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him. These old saints didn't...
