The best thing Camp Meeting for kids is to offer a chance to meet other children who are seeking the Lord and want to hear His word. It is a chance to feel they belong to someone. They really belong to Jesus and that is one reason they want to attend Camp Meeting. All the music, all the teaching, all those wonderful people who want to help kids find the Lord if they are not saved. Team songs of praise to Jesus. They really love them. The sense of common purpose and attachment will make them feel they are drawing closer to Jesus as they hear God's word. Take your kids to camp meeting and they will be so happy to go.
We kept an artificial tree inside the hall of our home for decoration. Two tiny birds used to visit every now and then through the window. Slowly they start making a nest in that tree. They made a beautiful nest. The female bird laid three eggs. One fine morning the eggs hatched and three tiny ones popped out. We enjoyed watching them whenever the mother bird goes out to bring food for the little ones. One day quite unexpectedly it came in and saw us watching the nest. Oh God, although it was a tiny bird it flew fast to hit our face and we just ran out. I remember the Bible verse in Isaiah 31:5 Like birds hovering overhead, the Lord Almighty will shield Jerusalem; he will shield it and deliver it, he will ‘pass over’ it...
When anyone is following the Lord we are no longer the most important person in the world, Jesus is. Then, instead of living only for ourselves, we are living for Jesus. His call still on today and it will be forever. Come unto Me and I will give you rest. When we follow God then our faith should be deeper than the ocean, just follow Him without knowing where. Waiting for Him day and night till He tells you where to go and what to do. Thou art the Son of the living God, Peter said when He was following Jesus. Heavenly revelations shall come to you without even realizing you have it. Expect a miracle in your life and the life of others whom God has touched. Healing, blessings, comfort in times of trouble. Trust God's purpose...
One thing I notice in this world is that things change over time. You have people you think you'll be friends with forever, and they move away, move on in life, and things aren't as they were. Even families, they "branch out" to different parts of the country, you might only see them very occasionally. "Phases" of your life come and go. Also, with time you find out many you knew died. {"For your life is like a vapor, that appears for a while, then fades away."} That's in this world. Now, eternity. When we see each other in eternity, we won't have to say "goodbye" any more. No one will move to a place we "can't get to". No one will die, Things won't change to the extent that we're no longer in friendship with each other. And that is the...
It is Jesus command and example of love to God above all things. Jesus at an early age was found in the temple of God in discussion with the elders. Luke 2:46 If Jesus attended church, then we should also. Church attendance is vital for anyone who loves the Lord and wants to serve Him. It is like transfusion of a rich, healthy blood to a sick man. It gives us new life in Him. It encourages us to continue our long road to heaven. Why then should we attend our local church? A. To become closer to God in worship along with other believers and those who see God's face. B. For our children to have a moral foundation. To love the Lord with all their heart, mind, and soul. C. To become a better person before the Lord and before...
For those of you who want a better understanding of the book of Revelation. The Bible Project Overview: Revelation Ch. 1-11 @ Overview: Revelation Ch. 12-22 @ ### The Book of Revelation Explained in Under 5 Minutes @ Got Questions "How can I understand the Book of Revelation?" @ How can I understand the Book of Revelation? | GotQuestions.org Question: "How can I understand the Book of Revelation?" A simple outline for the book of Revelation is found in Revelation 1:19. In the first chapter, the risen and exalted Christ is speaking to John. Christ tells John to “write, therefore, what you have seen, what is now and what will take place later.” The things John had already seen are recorded in chapter 1. The “things which...
2 online articles. Please read first and then comment. Read as it is written only for you, not for others. If you read it only for others, there is a possibility that you are self-righteous to? When I have read this, I said to myself, oh, Lord, help me!! Will you? 11 CHARACTERISTICS OF THE SELF-RIGHTEOUS Self-righteousness is rampant in our churches. Pews are packed every week with Pharisees who are under the impression they are doing everything right. Scripture, however, paints a woefully different picture. Far from thinking we have "arrived" or that we are superior to others, we should feel a need for dependence on the righteousness of Christ. Instead of raising our spiritual noses at those struggling with sin, we...
With thanksgiving we all shall be a sanctuary for the Lord. He loves us with an everlasting love and cares for us. Why not being a sanctuary for Jesus to live in our hearts, minds and soul. But we all, with unveiled face beholding and reflecting like a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord's Spirit. II Cor. 3:18 All Christians should want and desire to be the sanctuary where Jesus will be exalted and adored forever. Amen
