Recently I was living in a situation with a dangerous person and was forced out of living there. When it came time for me to move, the person that I had been talking to about trying to find me a place couldn't come through and I ended up with someone else who is absolutely awesome. I do believe God chose this person for me to stay with. It's a safe environment and will help with the mental health issues I face.
How many of you have dealt with "fair weather friends," who are your friends until a minor quirk occurs, and they wave you off? I have--one lady, who I was "friends" with for a while, ONE time she was texting me through the day, but I was busy driving, and you can't just pick up a cellphone and start texting while driving, dangerous and also laws against it. {She was out of work at the time and had nothing else to do, probably bored} So by the end of the day I texted back, "You know, when you're as busy as me, you can't just immediately text back all throughout the day." That's it!! I'm her enemy for life now, and she ignores me when she sees me. {Too bad}. Another lady, I did much for her, and she always praised me, but one day there...
In our country we wear a lot of jewels for our wedding. My parents too bought for me many. Just a few days before my marriage I wore all those jewels and showed them to my parents. When my father saw his daughter looking beautiful with those jewels, his face shone with joy. Our Heavenly Father too enjoys decorating His children and wants them to lead a happy life but a spotless one. Ezekiel 16:11-13 I adorned you with jewelry: I put bracelets on your arms and a necklace around your neck, 12. and I put a ring on your nose, earrings on your ears and a beautiful crown on your head. 13. So you were adorned with gold and silver; your clothes were of fine linen and costly fabric and embroidered cloth. Your food was honey, olive oil...
Davil loved the Lord with all of his heart, mind and soul. He wanted to live close to His holy presence. He knew down deep in his soul that Jesus delighted in the praises of His people. He said this.... I will praise the Lord all my life. I will sing praise to my God as long as I live. Psalm 146.2 Singing praises to God brings happiness and joy to a life of anyone who starts doing what the angels in heaven are doing day and night. There is an incredible benefit in our physical, social and emotional life. 1. Singing praises to Jesus is a natural anti-depressant to anyone who sings daily songs of praise to God. 2. When you start singing your stress level lowers to bottom line. Jesus Himself will take away all your worries, your fears...
Do not forget your Bible. God's word is more important than anything else in this world. Read it when you are at the beach or resting in a bench. Wherever you are, just read God's word. He is right there with you, looking at everyone. Toothpaste, toothbrush, and mouthwash will clean your mouth, but the words you say to others will bless their life. A hairbrush or comb will make your hair look nice, but it is nicer to think what God can do while you are swimming and resting inside the cottage. Deodorant, shampoo, and conditioner will make you smell nice, but the smell of God's presence in your life will make others turn to Jesus. Sunscreen and lotion will keep away the sun's rays, but God's precious Holy Spirit living in you will keep...
I have not answered one prayer, neither have I displayed any signs nor wonders, and not one miracle have I performed . . . BUT GOD has done all these things in the presence of the multitude. Moreover, thus far, everything that God has foretold within the realm of my journey, this assignment in particular, has come or is coming to pass. Likewise, as foretold, much of the contention which I have received, comes from the church, which really bothered me, at first, but eventually I came to realize that, because it was foretold, it couldn't be any other way. Just because something is foretold does not always mean that it is acceptable in God's eyes. No one likes to be told about their faults, guilt, and sin, the response is usually...
Spirit hath not flesh and bones - Tim Keller Idea of bodily resurrection is biblical. And there are many examples of Christ after resurrection eating, talking, and doing stuff with his disciples. Jesus is risen from the dead. As Christians and as believers, we have been taught this. But I want to pose a question. Do we really, I mean really, believe that he is actually and bodily resurrected? I do believe this. Why I post this question? Because at times I feel like that people, not even believers, really grasp what the resurrection means. Because if and when the resurrection is true, it radically changes everything. This means our journey is not just towards some vague spiritual afterlife but towards real eternal life. Towards...
