When I say "clique," I don't mean a group of friends who hang out together, but also don't mind inviting someone else to join in. I mean when you have a group who thinks their group is the only ones there are, and they shun others outside the group, like they don't feel they have to show courtesy to others outside the clique, and in fact are downright rude to outsiders. They shun them. Now, is this a sin, especially if they shun others, and treat them as unworthy? I would think in some way that it is, because let's face it, Jesus did not approve of favoritism.
