```markdown John 3:16 (KJV) ¹⁶For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Isn't that beautiful? Standing alone, that seems to release man from all accountability. Some even preach that it absolves all past, present, and future sin. But, John 3:16 doesn't automatically cover all people; nor does it automatically cover ongoing sin. There are stipulations. Therefore, keeping it in context, let's try it again: John 3 (KJV) ¹⁶For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (To believe requires acceptance of the complete Word of God. Christ, who is The...
As I have tried to clarify before, the highlighted verse, v.20, has nothing to do with giving testimony of surviving childhood sexual abuse, even when the perpetrator is one's own brother. It's about citizens of the land, in this case a nation; those in power, particularly, those of God's household, who mistreat their own countrymen: gossiping, bearing false witness, etc. These people then had the nerve to approach God to seek favor, as if He was oblivious to the entirety of the matter. Hypocrites. Psalms 50:7-23 (NLT) ⁷“O My people, listen as I speak. Here are My charges against you, O Israel: I am God, your God! ⁸I have no complaint about your sacrifices or the burnt offerings you constantly offer. ⁹But I do not need the bulls from...
"AS IT IS WRITTEN" Why Romans Ch. 9 makes absolutely no sense at all. Exactly! God's thoughts and ways are not like ours. Therefore, all He asks us to do is repent, and forgive others as He forgave us. Note To My Hometown: Stop pointing the finger at me and I'll stop having to testify to the accuracy of God's Word concerning you. Both my assignment and your reaction were predetermined long before either this city or me ever existed. It's all already done. Your saving grace was: Isaiah 30:15 (NIV) This is what the Sovereign LORD, the Holy One of Israel, says: "In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength, but you would have none of it." The real question is this, "How can we blame and punish one...
Glorious Sabbath Day People of God: All Things Revealed 1 Corinthians 2 (KJV) ⁹But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him. ¹⁰But God hath revealed them unto us by His Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. Just as God reveals the time for planting, He reveals the time for plucking up. I really wish that I could get through to my hometown. But, if I could, that would mean that the scriptures are inaccurate; which would make God a liar. God is not a liar. Ezekiel 3:7 (NLT) But the people of Israel won’t listen to you any more than they listen to me! For the whole lot of them are...
God teaches every generation a lasting lesson. Therefore, I must write these events down as commanded. Yes, it's hurtful the way I continue to be mistreated by this city. Certainly, they would not want their mothers or grandmothers treated as such. Nevertheless, I forgive them because I recall the end results of their compassing and dishonor when all their other teams were competing. Vengeance still belongs to the LORD. Love wins. God remains undefeated.
To Those with Ears To Hear: Housewarming Gifts When we think of a housewarming party, we automatically think of celebrating someone's new house with gifts. Well, spiritually discerned, when we repent (turn away from our sin) we become God's new house. He throws a party; but, He's the one who gives the gifts. Why that makes absolutely no sense at all. Exactly! His ways are not like our ways. Acts 7 (NLT) ⁴⁸However, the Most High doesn’t live in temples made by human hands. As the prophet says, ⁴⁹ ‘Heaven is My throne, and the earth is My footstool. Could you build Me a temple as good as that?’ asks the LORD. ‘Could you build Me such a resting place?' Hebrews 3:6 (NIV) ⁶But Christ is faithful as the Son over God’s house. And...
Glorious Sabbath Day People of God: Indeed, Jesus was a man few words, except for when He was teaching. Yet, it was always the "mic drop" words that He chose to use, in settling matters, that always captured my attention. This man didn't take part in the robbery. He didn't go on the internet to plot, plan, scheme, or gossip; nor did he put on a pious face or drape himself in the priestly garments of religiosity only to turn his back on humanity. He simply responded with human decency. Notice, that Jesus made no mention of the man's past sins, which I'm sure were many; after all he was from Samaria, the "sin city" of that day. Howbeit, Jesus did present a condemning contrast between the locals' response and the out-of-towner's...
God will not remain silent forever; therefore, He must never be taken for granted. How arrogant to think that all is well in God's eyes just because your current situation is comfortable. You've heard the old saying, "One bad apple don't spoil the whole bunch." Well as with all things, in the Spirit realm, it's just the opposite from God's vantage point. 1 Corinthians 5:6 (KJV) ⁶Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump? So then, one bad apple, (i.e. a little leaven, a little sin) does indeed spoil the whole bunch. Or, as was purposed in the following text, one city's continued BAD ATTITUDE of rebelling against God brought destruction upon an entire nation. Again... Jeremiah 22:21-23 (MSG)...
This testimony may not seem like much to some, and may even anger others. I hesitated for so long because following the event, I was physically attacked, and some other things happened. But, I promised God that I would give Him public praise, through testimony, for the private prayers that He answers publicly. So, here goes. I trust God implicitly; therefore, I generally don't like to ask for signs as confirmation. But, last year, in a brief moment of uncertainty, like Gideon, I asked God for just that. I simply asked: "LORD, if it's Your voice that I'm still hearing, in the realm of sports, let it be an East Coast, West Coast world series." Now, because I really like both the teams that ended up competing for the title, I tried not...
```markdown Obviously, people are still looking for prophets and prophetesses to be perfect. But God promised to raise up prophets from among your own people. Given that, there is no way that I could possibly be perfect. There is but one perfect prophet; man rejected Him over two thousand years ago. Yet, I strive to operate in obedience to God's instruction to be true to my prophetic calling. Unfortunately, albeit precisely as Jesus prophesied, that makes me a constant target for those whom the Bible says are God's haters. We must remember that Jesus's hometown failed to see the God in Him; yet, He is perfection. Therefore, while some are looking for perfection in me, through their imperfect eyes, they are missing both the purpose and...
