For anyone, male or female, who has an adult child with an alcohol or drug addiction, I can feel your pain. My heart is so broken because my son and I no longer talk and probably will never talk again. It isn't because I haven't tried, it's simply because of the way the situation in his life has turned out. He went to detox in 2014 and then to an outpatient rehab center for eight days. At the time, he told me he would never stop drinking. Still, I held out hope. Unfortunately, he relapsed and he's really bad now. He's only ### years old and I am aware that he may not live long. I already lost a son in ### and just don't want to see this happen to my only other son, but there are so many things in life we can't control. He was born with...
“...For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow...” (James 1:3, NLT) When God is Silent Sometimes when we’re being tested by discouragement, it seems God is silent. We pray and don’t hear anything. We read the Scripture and still come away feeling as though God is a million miles away. It’s easy to think something must be wrong. But remember, this is a test. You have to pass the test of being faithful where you are. Keep stretching, praying, and believing. The next step is coming—an increase step, a favor step, a healing step, a breakthrough step. When God is silent, don’t assume He’s left you or is mad at you. He is right there with you during the test. His silence is a sign that He has great...
Thank you everyone for praying for my trip overseas. God has protected, guided and helped when we could not continue our return back home. Jesus was right there to help us and open the way for our return. Once we have traveled anywhere in this world, we know what it is to take one abroad. Our travel never ends, it continues throughout our life. We are strangers and foreigners on earth. Our travel continues to glory. Jesus is waiting for you and for me at the end of our trip. So, love Him, serve Him and obey His word. Tell the Lord. I am still wearing the smile You gave to me. I will continue to smile and be happy till You call me home to heaven. Amen
```html God is not shocked by current events; He foretold of it long before time began. He knows that you know that this country's administration does not rule in righteousness: Therefore He is graciously giving to you explicit warning. There is a reason, far beyond what we can see, why this leader is on God's radar, and not in a good way: God knows what lies ahead because of his oppressive, divisive leadership. This election is not about party affiliation, it's about answering God's call to do what is right, not only for your families, but for the nation as a whole. Make it clear the man in the White House that you are not deceived; but, that you know that the real threat to all neighborhoods, "White, Black, or otherwise," is not...
In this world you and I will not be able to find true happiness until we give ourselves to the Lord. Everything belongs to Him and we must give it back to Him. Naked have I come out of my mother's womb and naked I will depart. Job 1:21a So, let us all start finding true happiness in the holy presence of the Lord. 1, Keep your heart free from hate and anger. Love others just as Jesus has loved us. 2. Keep your mind free from worry of any kind. Give all your burdens to the Lord and He will take care of all of them. 3. Live simply and be grateful to Jesus for every single blessing He has given you. 4- Expect little but give much to those in need. All our blessings that have come from the Lord should be shared. 5. Fill your life...
A. To open up the sky and see Jesus coming in majesty and great glory to take all the saints, all those who love the Lord with all their heart, mind and soul. B. To see Jesus coming down in a cloud and hear His heavenly voice. I have come to take you along with me to glory. C. To see the graves being open up and those who believe and trusted God's word to rise up and enter heaven. D. To know for sure what Jesus said. I am coming soon and my reward is with Me. Expect the unexpected. Every single word Jesus said will happen. Sooner or later we will find out for sure. Life is full of wonderful things when God is in it. Better things shall come and we shall rejoice with the Lord forever. Amen
