Jesus said Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burden, and I will give you rest. take my yoke upon you, let me teach you, because i am humble and gentle at heart, and you find find rest for your soul. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.
His Peace "Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful." Colossians 3:15 NIV Peace is not just about the absence of trouble, war or stress. It's about a gracious state of harmony, wholeness, and spiritual prosperity. In fact you can be in the midst of great persecution and still have biblical peace. Paul had peace in most adverse situations. James 1:2 "Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials" Clearly a 'Peace' that defies worldly peace. Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as...
I just want to say this. I bow down before the Lord our God almighty. All merciful and kind to those who believe, who trust and wait for Him. Daily His blessings flow. His hand of mercy and healing is felt everywhere. So amazing. You have named the stars of the deepest night. Still You loved me, You called my name, I will follow You. Emmanuel, Jesus Christ. You will never let me go. My Sheperd King, You are watching over me. Emmanuel, Emmanuel. I call You dear Lord, day and night I raise my voice to You. In my darkest hour You come to me and comfort my troubled soul. There is none like You. Those who seek Thy face will never ever be frustrated or left all alone. I love You Lord today and I will love You forever. You have...
I just read this three part series at Calvary Chapel Magazine. I was so blessed by the stories of healing that I wanted to pass it along here. With so many millions of abortions having been done in this world it is very likely we all know someone who is considering one or who has had one, someone who may be suffering silently because they have no one they can trust to talk to about it. “Abortion is a traumatic event. Every experience is unique, but the impact is often the same. Men and women who suffer from post-abortion trauma often have issues with anxiety, anger, nightmares or insomnia, remorse, guilt and grief. Sixty-five percent of post-abortive women suffer from depression. Others turn to drugs, alcohol and even suicide. In fact...
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. COMMENTARY Such a beautiful and magnificent verse. It exclaims: (1) That God labour of Love was the solution to reconciliation with humanity; (2) That He loved the world instead of hating it. In contrast, today we see people ensnared in hatred; (3) That He "so" loved the world that He gave his only Son. This speaks of sacrificial Love - the highest form of Love; (4) The Son did not come to appease the Father's wrath, but our Father sent His Son to keep men from perishing; (5) Jesus wilfully surrendered His life for humanity; and (6) Eternal Life is given to those who believe in Jesus. Hatred...
Indeed God sings to us songs of comfort when we turn to Him, but when we persist in rebellion, whether church or nation, He turns our festive songs into funeral songs. Isaiah 43: 22 "But you have not called upon Me, O Jacob; And you have been weary of Me, O Israel." Listen to the words of the late Rev. James Cleveland's song. With almost 450,000 dead, in the US alone: Have we not been standing on the proverbial "Banks of Jordan?" Still some play foolish games, seeking to manipulate God's Word to fit a hateful narrative. God is not playing with us. Just because we don't like hearing an unpleasant thing doesn't mean that He's not behind it. God is not mocked when we reject the instructions relayed by His messengers; for He foretold...
Think on these things
Loved these words shared this morning by Amir Tsarfati and Barry Stagner. Hope they encourage you too. ❤️ Christine to subscribe to Amir‘s newsletter go to www.beholdisrael.org "If you run this race thinking about everything around you, you will always - always - end up being weary and discouraged in your soul. And, of course, it will affect your health. You’ll become anxious. You’ll get discouraged. You’ll hide yourself away from other believers. And that's when you fall down the rabbit hole. Where should your eyes be? Looking at Jesus, the author and the finisher of our faith. Now I have a question for you. Where is Jesus right now? The Bible says He's seated at the right hand of the throne of God. Where is the...
As I read this Psalm today all I could think is that I wanted to share it. I have no words to improve upon it. Please read and receive hope and courage for the days we live in. 37:1 [A Psalm] of David. Don't fret yourself because of evildoers, Neither be envious against those who work unrighteousness. 37:2 For they will soon be cut down like the grass, And wither as the green herb. 37:3 Trust in Yahweh, and do good; Stay in the land, and pasture on faithfulness. 37:4 Delight yourself also in Yahweh; And he will give you the desires of your heart. 37:5 Commit your way to Yahweh; Trust also in him, and he will bring it to pass. 37:6 And he will make your righteousness to go forth as the light, And your justice as the noonday. 37:7...
