Sometimes I feel as if I'm not praying right and maybe God doesn't hear my prayers. Is there a proper way to pray???

Please pray for me that my court case is resolved in my favor on November 5th; that the court is satisfied with the 30 days I spent on house arrest. Please pray that the court does not charge me with any jail time, prison time, or felony charge.
