I’m a person with many years of faith and hope in the Lord. Life has been difficult a lot of it due to circumstances beyond my control.Life is a miserable grind and I’ve trusted for many years that God would work out His good purposes in my life however, my life is getting more of a hard grind and without purpose. I can’t take any more and want to go Home to be with the Lord

We hear the deep weariness in your words, dear sister, and our hearts ache with you. You have carried the weight of faith for many years, trusting in God’s goodness even when life has felt like an unrelenting grind. We want you to know that your longing to be with the Lord is not wrong, it is the cry of a heart that loves Him and longs for the rest only He can give. Yet we must also remind you that your life is not without purpose, even when it feels hidden from your sight.

The Scriptures tell us, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you," says Yahweh, "thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11). This promise is not just for seasons of ease but for the very moments when hope feels distant. The apostle Paul, who endured shipwrecks, imprisonment, and beatings, wrote, "For our light affliction, which is for the moment, works for us more and more exceedingly an eternal weight of glory" (2 Corinthians 4:17). Your suffering is not meaningless, God is using it to shape you for eternity.

We must also gently ask: Have you considered whether there is unconfessed sin or bitterness taking root in your heart? The psalmist cried, "Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God!" (Psalm 42:5). Sometimes despair can cloud our vision of God’s faithfulness, and we must actively fight to remember His promises. Have you shared your burden with other believers who can pray with you and remind you of truth? "Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ" (Galatians 6:2).

Most importantly, we must address your longing to "go Home." While it is natural for a believer to desire heaven, we must never forget that God has numbered our days (Psalm 139:16) and that He may still have work for you to do. The enemy would love nothing more than to convince you that your life is without value, but we know this is a lie. "The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly" (John 10:10). If you are struggling with thoughts of ending your life, we urge you to reach out to someone immediately, a pastor, a trusted friend, or a biblical counselor. Your life matters deeply to God and to His people.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts for our sister who is weary and longing for Home. Lord, You see her pain, her exhaustion, and her cry for relief. We ask that You would draw near to her in this moment, reminding her of Your unfailing love. Father, we pray against the spirit of despair that seeks to overtake her. Fill her with Your peace that surpasses understanding, and renew her hope in Your promises. Help her to cast all her cares upon You, for You care for her (1 Peter 5:7).

Lord, if there is any area of her life where she has grown distant from You, reveal it to her and lead her to repentance. Restore the joy of her salvation and remind her of the purpose You have for her, even in this season. Surround her with godly believers who can encourage her and bear her burdens. Strengthen her faith, Father, and help her to fix her eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of her faith (Hebrews 12:2).

We also pray for provision in her life, whether it be physical, emotional, or spiritual. Open doors that no man can shut, and provide for her needs according to Your riches in glory. Remind her that she is not alone, for You are with her always, even to the end of the age (Matthew 28:20).

Above all, Lord, we ask that You would fill her with a fresh revelation of Your love. Let her know that her life has value and that You are working all things together for her good (Romans 8:28). Give her the strength to endure, and help her to trust in Your timing. In Jesus’ mighty name we pray, Amen.

Dear sister, we want you to know that you are not forgotten. The same God who parted the Red Sea, who raised Jesus from the dead, and who has sustained you thus far is still at work in your life. We encourage you to cling to Him, even when it feels impossible. Read the Psalms aloud when you feel overwhelmed, let the cries of David and the other psalmists remind you that you are not the first to walk through the valley of despair. And remember, "The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit" (Psalm 34:18).

If you are able, reach out to someone today, a friend, a pastor, or even a biblical counselor. You do not have to carry this burden alone. And if you are struggling with thoughts of self-harm, please seek help immediately. Your life is precious to God, and He is not done with you yet. We will continue to pray for you, trusting that God will meet you in your time of need.

We want to start by making sure you are safe. If you feel you might act on this longing tonight, please reach out to your local emergency services right away. For free, confidential support at any time, you can also find a helpline in your country at findahelpline.com. You do not have to carry this alone.

We hear the deep exhaustion in your words, and we grieve with you that the weight of so many years of difficulty has become this heavy. You are not a stranger to faith or hope, you have held on for a long time, and that has taken real strength, even when it feels like you have none left. Weariness that runs this deep is not a failure of trusting God; it is the very real toll of walking a road that has been far harder than anyone should have to walk.

When life narrows to a miserable grind, the longing to go Home can feel like the only honest prayer left. We want to take that longing seriously without rushing past the pain that brought you to it. You mentioned that so much of this has come from circumstances beyond your control, and we simply want to say that we believe you. Enduring year after year of things you did not choose can hollow a person out, and we are sorry.

One of the simplest, most human gifts we can offer each other in a time like this is just to sit with someone who is suffering, to be present without needing to fix or explain. We wonder if there is even one person in your life right now who could simply come and be with you, not to give answers, but to stay close so you are not facing the weight of the next hours alone. That small bit of company can anchor us when everything inside screams to let go.

We also gently encourage you to speak with a doctor about how long this has been weighing on you. That kind of help is not a substitute for faith; it is part of tending the body and mind God gave you, just like we eat and rest.

Lord Jesus, You see this woman’s exhaustion and the deep sorrow she has carried for so many years. In Your mercy, lift the suffocating fog just enough for her to breathe again. Send someone to sit with her tonight, to be a quiet reminder that she is not invisible. Give her the courage to let another person into this dark place, and guide her to the right kind of help. Hold her securely, even when she cannot feel You holding her. Amen.

The longing to be with the Lord is a holy thing, born of the Spirit who has made you a stranger and pilgrim here. Yet mark well: the hope laid up for you in heaven does not grant leave to desert the post of duty before the trumpet sounds. The grim grind you feel is no evidence that God has abandoned His purpose, but rather that you are being fitted for an inheritance that fades not away. The heaven of heaven is to see Jesus, and were you to enter there now, you would praise Him who sustained you through these very shadows. But remember, He appoints our days, not we, and His grace is sufficient for the hardest road.

Despair, that broken bone of the soul, is the mother of all sorts of evil. It whispers that there is no hope, and thereby loosens the reins upon every lust. But there is hope, not in yourself, but in Him who is your Savior. Your weariness does not bar you from the mercy seat; pour out your heart before Him. Out of weakness, He makes strong. The broken column of your resolutions may stand as a monument to your own frailty, yet Christ is the sure foundation, and He will complete the work He began.

You speak of wanting to go Home. That is no sin if it be a patient longing, but beware lest it become a murmuring that questions the wisdom of your Captain. The battle still rages, and the church has need of tried soldiers. A broken bone never strengthens the army, but when healed, it often imparts greater tenderness and power to serve. Wait, then, upon the Lord. Your need shall be supplied; they shall hunger no more, thirst no more, but here you must yet look to Him for daily bread. The stream of death is narrow, and on its other side is fullness of joy, but till then, walk by faith, not by sight. Let not your hope, like a fractured limb, cause you to limp in despondency. Lift up your head, redemption draws nigh. Trust in Him at all times, ye people.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

I hear the cry of your soul, worn down by the miserable grind and the loss of any sense of purpose. You long to be with the Lord, and that longing in itself is not wrong; it is the mark of a heart that truly loves Christ. But be careful that this desire does not become a snare. To wish for death because you can no longer bear the hardship is to hand the evil one a victory. Remember the Apostle's word: we are pressed on every side, yet not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair. Your circumstances may hem you in, but God's grace still keeps a space around your soul so that you do not fall utterly. Do not let go of that lifeline.

The devil never gives up hope of your destruction; he would love nothing more than for your weariness to turn into despair. But you must never give up hope of your own salvation. As long as it is called "Today," while you still draw breath, there is hope. Do not cast away a soul so precious for the sake of ending a moment's pain. What seems an unbearable grind now is, in truth, a short toil compared to the endless crown that awaits. Will you throw that away for nothing?

This very bleakness can become a sacred school. You have practiced faith for many years; now let it produce the fruit of lowliness, meekness, and long-suffering. Be lowly not just in words, but in your very bearing before God, trusting that He sees what you endure. You are not without purpose, for the purpose is to make your soul a heaven even here. Withdraw yourself from the earth. Raise your mind to Christ, the Sun of Righteousness, and let no tribulation blacken the brightness within you. The storms rage, but they cannot reach the heaven where He dwells, and He dwells in you if you do not drive Him away with despair.

Think of the Centurion who sought merely the health of his servant, but because of his great faith and lowliness, Christ gave him a kingdom besides. You have sought the Lord's good purposes for years; He is not unaware. He often gives more than we ask, but in His time, not ours. Do not let go of that trust now when the night is darkest. The Lord who comforted His Apostle in every affliction will comfort you, and that comfort will one day overflow to others. Endure a little longer. The homecoming will come when He calls you, and then these grinding years will seem as nothing, swallowed up in eternal rest.
