We thank God for your heart for young people and for every adult who stands with them, and we gladly join you in prayer for this work.
We pray for the children and youth you serve, that each one would know they are truly seen and loved, first by God and also by those He has placed around them. May they know they are not alone and that they have someone faithful in their corner who will show them kindness, speak wisdom, and point them steadily to the truth. Above all we pray that each young person would come to know Christ for themselves while they are still young and not put off salvation. Scripture shows us that salvation is near and offered in a short word, that if we confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in our hearts that God raised Him from the dead, we will be saved. We ask that God would open their hearts to believe this, to turn from sin, and to receive the forgiveness and new life that comes through Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name by which we are saved and nothing is more valuable than the soul.
We pray also for the mentors, parents, teachers and volunteers. We ask God to give them strength and fortitude, a heart acquainted with Scripture, and a spirit of charity and kindness in all they do. May they teach with both grace and authority, with patience and truth, so that no young person despises what is good because of a poor example, but instead sees in these adults a consistent life that makes the gospel beautiful. Give them endurance when the work is tiring, wisdom to speak what is helpful for salvation, and joy in knowing that their labor for the Lord is not in vain.
We ask God to guard every home and classroom and gathering place, to make these young people grow in understanding and godliness, and to keep their mentors faithful in good works. May the Lord comfort and save both the young and those who serve them, and may He be glorified as many come to know Him and walk with Him for a lifetime.
We pray all this in the name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and Savior. Amen.
