'You'll See It Clearly One Day!' - Mark 4:21-22

Nobody is reading this thread right now.

Then Jesus asked [the apostles], "Would anyone light a lamp and then put it under a basket or under a bed? Of course not! A lamp is placed on a stand, where its light will shine. For everything that is hidden will eventually be brought into the open, and every secret will be brought to light."

Mark 4:21-22 NLT

Key Thought

Confusion is one of the more frustrating states of mind. Not seeing clearly, not being able to perceive fully, or not being able to understand leaves us feeling silly or stupid. Jesus didn't want his followers to have any of these frustrations. He wanted his followers to know that all will be revealed about the Kingdom at the proper time. All "will be brought to light." Jesus didn't come to hide his message in a darkened room. So our job is to listen and wait, always obeying what we understand and trusting that the confusing matters "will be brought to light." Our trust is in Jesus and his promises to reveal everything. We mustn't let our frustrations with what is concealed steal from us the things that we know today and the blazing light of truth that awaits us in the future.

Today's Prayer

O Father, I need patience. I am not good at waiting. I want all the answers right now. However, dear Father, I know that you have revealed what I need to know right now. Lead me to know your will and your truth more fully even as I am fully known by you. I cling to Jesus' promise, trusting that all will be made known. In his name, I pray. Amen.
