You reap what you sew?

The concept of "You reap what you sow" is often understood as a principle of cause and effect, suggesting that actions have corresponding consequences. However, life is complex, and there are many factors that can influence outcomes, which may not always align with this principle in a straightforward manner. Here are some insights into the examples you provided:

1. **Health and Lifestyle**:
- Genetics, metabolism, and other biological factors can significantly influence health outcomes. For instance, two people with different diets might have different cholesterol levels due to genetic predispositions.
- Environmental factors, stress, and overall lifestyle also play roles in health, which can sometimes lead to unexpected results.

2. **Smoking and Lung Health**:
- While smoking is a major risk factor for lung disease, not everyone who smokes will develop lung problems, and some non-smokers may develop lung cancer due to genetic factors or environmental exposure (e.g., radon, secondhand smoke).

3. **Weight and Diet**:
- Metabolism, physical activity, and genetic factors can affect how a person's body responds to high-calorie foods. Some people may naturally have a faster metabolism or other factors that help them maintain a lower weight despite their diet.

4. **Perceived Luck or Success**:
- People who seem to have everything fall into place might have a combination of hard work, opportunity, and sometimes timing. It's also possible that they are not aware of all the challenges they face.
- For others, persistent problems might be due to a complex interplay of circumstances, choices, and sometimes factors beyond their control.

5. **Faith and Prayer**:
- In a spiritual context, the outcomes of prayer and faith are not always visible or immediate. The effects of prayer might be spiritual growth, peace, or strength to endure challenges, rather than a direct change in circumstances.
- The Bible also teaches about suffering and trials as part of the human experience, which can be opportunities for growth and reliance on God.

In summary, while "You reap what you sow" is a guiding principle, it is not a formula that guarantees specific outcomes in every situation. Life is influenced by a multitude of factors, and sometimes the results are not immediately apparent or align with our expectations. Faith can provide comfort and perspective, even when outcomes are not as we hope.

I was listening to a song called “I Believe” by ###. There are some spoken words in the song that blessed me. I pray that they will bless you also.

Listen, Listen, Listen…There are going to be times in your life as a believer when you’re going to question if God is really on your side. And the reason why you’re questioning it is because of the simple fact it seems like the devil is hitting you with everything he can possibly throw at you.

But you need to understand something beloved. You need to remember that the only reason why you are in the position you are in now, “Is because God has ordered your steps.” And the only reason why the devil is hitting you like he’s hitting you is because he has literally peeked into your future. And he sees what God is about to bring you into. That’s why you can’t depend on nothing but the Word of God.

I just want to add this…from my heart to yours…The reason for the test and trials, “Is to conform You into the image of Christ.” God’s desire for you in the tests and trials you are or will go through, “Is that you handle yourself (you conduct yourself) so that the Lord will be seen in your life and that God will be glorified.”

PS: Listen…Listen…Listen….Be Thankful For Your Tests and Trails. They help build your trust and faith in God and in His Word. They help keep your focus on God, keep you praying, and keep you depending upon God.

I hopes this helps somebody!

Sometimes is not about reaping what you sew it is about God's Plan for your life.

Don’t be misled—you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant. Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful nature will harvest decay and death from that sinful nature. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit. So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. Galatians 6:7-9

Basically this means 'you get what you give.' If you give love, love will be returned to you. If you give bitterness, bitterness will be returned to you. I know it can be discouraging to continue to do right and see no tangible results, and it seems so unfair that those who do wrong all the time always get what they want and always get their way... trust me, I've seen this first hand. But the people who are unbelievers and always get their way, they will get exactly what they deserve. God never said our lives as Christians would be easy. In fact, He said there would be trials and tribulations. We suffer for God's Glory, we also suffer because our suffering builds perseverance, character, and hope. (Romans 5:3-4) Suffering is also our key to faith. If we didn't suffer, we wouldn't need faith.

If you 'plant' to please God, you'll 'harvest' joy and eternal life. If you 'plant' to satisfy your own selfish desires, you'll 'harvest' evil. I hope this makes sense and helps you out! God bless you!
