First we must believe Gods word is total truth, and we cannot lean on our thoughts or feelings. This is of up most importance to learn.
1 John 5:13 (NLT)
13. I have written this to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know you have eternal life. 14. And we are confident that he hears us whenever we ask for anything that pleases him.
Hebrews 6:17-19
New Living Translation (NLT)
17. God also bound himself with an oath, so that those who received the promise could be perfectly sure that he would never change his mind. 18. So God has given both his promise and his oath. These two things are unchangeable because it is impossible for God to lie. Therefore, we who have fled to him for refuge can have great confidence as we hold to the hope that lies before us. 19 This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God's inner sanctuary.
ROMANS 10
8. But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
9. That if thou (You) shalt confess with thy (Your) mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine (Your) heart God has raised him (Jesus) from the dead, thou (You) shalt be saved.
10. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
JOHN 10
27. My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
28. And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
29. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.
30. I and my Father are one.
"Note" His voice is his written word to us.
Nothing Can Separate Us from God's Love
ROMANS 8
31. What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us? 32. Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won't he also give us everything else? 33. Who dares accuse us whom God has chosen for his own? No one, for God himself has given us right standing with himself. 34. Who then will condemn us? No one for Christ Jesus died for us and was raised to life for us, and he is sitting in the place of honor at God's right hand, pleading for us.
35. Can anything ever separate us from Christ's love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? 36. (As the Scriptures say, "For your sake we are killed every day; we are being slaughtered like sheep. 37. No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.
38. And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God's love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow, not even the powers of hell can separate us from God's love. 39. No power in the sky above or in the earth below indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.
IS GOD ANGRY AT US?
ROMANS 5
1. Therefore, since we have been made right in God's sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. 2. Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God's glory.
3. We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. 4. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. 5. And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.
If you trust His words then you have what He has said, and you can confidently say I belong to Him.
