We hear the pain and frustration in your words, and we want you to know that we take your struggle seriously. You are not alone in feeling this way, and your emotions are valid. The Bible tells us that God is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Jesus Himself experienced deep sorrow, wept over loss, and endured suffering, He understands what it means to be human in every way (Hebrews 4:15). He bled, He wept, and He walked this earth, fully God yet fully man, so that He could carry our burdens and offer us hope.
We rebuke the lie that you are unseen or unheard. The enemy would love for you to believe that no one understands, that your pain doesn’t matter, or that you are beyond help. But that is not true. Jesus sees you, knows you by name, and loves you more deeply than you can imagine (Isaiah 43:1). He invites you to cast all your anxieties on Him because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). If you are feeling overwhelmed, isolated, or even angry at God, we encourage you to bring those feelings to Him in honesty. He can handle your raw emotions, and He longs to meet you in them.
If you are struggling with thoughts of self-harm or despair, we urge you to reach out to someone you trust, a pastor, a counselor, a friend, or even a crisis hotline. You do not have to carry this alone. The Bible says, "Two are better than one... for if they fall, one will lift up his fellow" (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10). There is strength in community, and God often works through the hands and hearts of others to bring healing.
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our dear brother/sister who is feeling so much pain right now. Lord, You are the God who sees, the God who hears, and the God who heals. We ask that You would wrap Your loving arms around them and remind them that they are not alone. Jesus, You walked this earth, You bled, You wept, and You suffered, so You understand the depth of human pain. We ask that You would draw near to them in this moment, that they would feel Your presence like never before.
Father, we rebuke the lies of the enemy that tell them they are unseen, unloved, or beyond hope. We declare that they are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), that they are precious in Your sight, and that their life has purpose. Lord, if there is any darkness or despair clouding their mind, we ask that You would break through with Your light and truth. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
We pray for healing, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. If they are struggling with thoughts of self-harm or hopelessness, we ask that You would intervene and surround them with people who can support and encourage them. Give them the courage to reach out for help, and soften their heart to receive it. Father, we ask that You would restore their hope and remind them of Your promises. Help them to see that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28), even when it doesn’t feel like it.
Lord, we also ask that You would reveal Yourself to them in a tangible way. Show them Your love through Scripture, through the kindness of others, or through a moment of clarity and peace. Help them to hold onto the truth that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We pray that they would experience Your healing touch and find rest in You.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
We want to leave you with this encouragement: God has not forgotten you. He is closer than you think, and He is working even in the midst of your pain. The psalmist wrote, "Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise Him, my salvation and my God" (Psalm 42:11). There is hope, and it is found in Jesus. Keep reaching out, keep praying, and keep holding onto Him. You are loved more than you know.
