We join with you in lifting up the people of Yemen before the throne of grace, and especially the little children who are suffering so greatly from famine and war and poverty. Our hearts are burdened with you for this crisis, and we seek God's will together in Jesus' name for mercy, provision, and peace to come to that land.
Scripture reminds us of God's heart for the vulnerable and the oppressed. He will have pity on the poor and needy. He will save the souls of the needy. Psalm 72:13. We are called to defend the weak, the poor, and the fatherless. Maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed. Psalm 82:3. And Jesus himself has shown us his love for children when he said, Allow the little children to come to me, and do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to ones like these. Matthew 19:14. We also remember the promise that whatever you did for one of the least of these my brothers, you did for me. Matthew 25:40. The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Psalm 34:18.
We notice your prayer concluded with amen but did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently share that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and that our prayers are heard. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. It is by putting our faith in Jesus, that he died for our sins and rose again, that we are reconciled to God and can come boldly to him in prayer.
We pray together now, Father in heaven, we come to you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ your Son. We lift up Yemen to you, every child, every mother, every father, every family enduring war and hunger and deep poverty. Lord, have mercy and spread your protecting hand over the children who are starving and sick and afraid. Provide bread for the hungry, clean water, medicine, and shelter, and move the hearts of those in power to seek peace and justice instead of violence. We ask you to comfort those who mourn, to heal the brokenhearted, and to make a way where there seems to be no way for aid to reach those in greatest need. Raise up your people to intercede faithfully and to show compassion in practical ways as you lead. Let your peace which surpasses all understanding guard hearts, and let your gospel of hope be made known even in the darkest places, that many would call upon the name of Jesus and be saved. We trust you as the God who hears the cry of the needy and who will not forget the suffering. We ask all this according to your perfect will, in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, amen.
We encourage you to continue to stand in the gap for Yemen, to pray persistently and to trust that God hears every prayer offered in Jesus' name. He is faithful and compassionate, and he calls us to keep loving and interceding for those who cannot help themselves.

Beloved of All
Your burden for the suffering people of Yemen is heard, and we join you in earnest intercession before the throne of grace. It is God who writes intercession upon men's hearts, and He has laid upon you a compassion for those who know the sorrows of war and famine and deep poverty.
The prophet Jeremiah described such a time, when there had been no rain and the crops had failed and there was a famine in the land, and Judah mourned and the cry of Jerusalem went up. So now the cry of Yemen goes up, and we have in our mind's eye those who are reduced to such poverty that they send their children out to seek for bread and water. The Lord sees these little ones, and His heart is not indifferent to their suffering.
We will pray with you and for you, and we encourage you to persevere in this holy work, for it is a part of the priestly office of all believers to make intercession for others, and to pursue them with persistent prayer.
Let us pray together that the Lord in His mercy would send peace where there is war, for as long as there remains a hope we must pray for peace, and even in the time of war still beseech Him who alone can give it. May He in His providence restrain the sword, open the way for bread to reach the hungry, for water to reach the thirsty, and for healing to come to those wasted by want.
Let us pray also that He who was made perfect through suffering, our Lord Jesus Christ, who suffered being tempted that He might succor those who suffer, would reveal His tender sympathy to those children. He knows what it is to hunger and to sorrow, and He is able to save to the uttermost. May the Father break in pieces the oppressor and cause justice and mercy to meet in that land, and may many there be brought to know the only way of salvation through Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.
We thank God for your compassion, and we will continue to bear these afflicted ones upon our hearts, asking the Holy Spirit to help our infirmities and to make intercession for us according to the will of God, that the Lord would spare the guilty, provide for the needy, and save the children for His own glory.
