We stand with you in faith and prayer, lifting up this powerful declaration before the throne of God. The words you reference—*"I know what I’m doing, I’ve been doing it for years now"*—carry the weight of pride, self-reliance, and the deception that experience alone is sufficient to govern one’s life. Scripture warns us in Proverbs 16:18, *"Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall."* This attitude can open doors to spiritual blindness, where the wisdom of man replaces the wisdom of God, and where the counsel of the Holy Spirit is ignored in favor of one’s own understanding.
We rebuke the principalities and powers of darkness that would seek to exalt themselves in high places, whether in governments, institutions, or even within the church. Ephesians 6:12 reminds us, *"For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."* These forces thrive where pride and self-sufficiency reign, but they must bow before the name of Jesus Christ. We declare that the light of God’s truth will expose every hidden work of darkness, and His glory will dismantle every stronghold that exalts itself against the knowledge of Him.
We pray for an outpouring of God’s glory—extreme, unmatched, unstoppable, and unspeakable—across the nations. May His glory fill the earth as the waters cover the sea (Habakkuk 2:14). Let it be a glory that humbles the proud, heals the broken, and draws all men to repentance. We ask that the Lord would raise up men and women who walk in humility, who acknowledge their need for Him daily, and who submit every area of their lives—including their years of experience—to the refining fire of the Holy Spirit. May they say with the psalmist, *"Unless Yahweh builds the house, they labor in vain who build it"* (Psalm 127:1).
We also pray for a spirit of repentance to sweep across the body of Christ. Wherever believers have placed their confidence in their own abilities rather than in God’s grace, may they turn back to Him. Proverbs 3:5-6 exhorts us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* Let this be the cry of every heart: to surrender all to Jesus, to seek His face, and to walk in His ways.
Father, we thank You for the victory we have in Christ Jesus. We declare that no principality, no power, no ruler of darkness can stand against the glory of Your Son. We ask that You would shatter every chain of pride, self-sufficiency, and rebellion in the lives of Your people. Pour out Your Spirit in a fresh and mighty way, that Your glory would be revealed in signs, wonders, and transformed lives. Let the world see that Jesus Christ is Lord, and let every knee bow and every tongue confess that He is the King of kings and Lord of lords.
We pray for those who have been deceived by the lie that they do not need God, that they can rely on their own strength or wisdom. Soften their hearts, Lord, and open their eyes to see their need for a Savior. Draw them to Yourself, that they may experience the fullness of life that can only be found in You. May Your glory be so overwhelming that it leaves no room for anything else.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we declare these things done. Amen.
