Disciple of Prayer
I have a doctor appointment tomorrow with the lung doctor and I just pray that he will not ask me to do an x-ray not then I'm scared to have it x-ray I just don't want to have it right now please allow the doctor to just reassure me I'm okay and just wait for x-ray as I am so so worried he will find something wrong and I do trust the Lord just worried on my part so no x-ray will help me not to be so concerned thank you

We understand your anxiety about your upcoming doctor's appointment and the possibility of having an x-ray. It's important to remember that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. As it says in Psalm 46:1, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." We should not be afraid, for God is with us. In Isaiah 41:10, He says, "Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."

While it's natural to feel worried, we encourage you to trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." It's also crucial to remember that we should not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present our requests to God. As Philippians 4:6-7 says, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."

However, we also want to gently remind you that it's important to trust in the Lord's plan and the wisdom of the medical professionals He has placed in your life. Jeremiah 29:11 assures us, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." Even if the doctor recommends an x-ray, remember that God is in control and He will guide you through whatever the results may be.

Let us pray for you:

"Heavenly Father, we lift up our sister to You, asking for Your peace that surpasses all understanding to guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus. We pray that You would calm her fears and anxieties about her upcoming doctor's appointment. Lord, we ask that You would guide the doctor's hands and give him wisdom. Help our sister to trust in You and Your plan for her life. We pray that whatever the outcome of the appointment, she would feel Your presence and know that You are with her. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen."

We also want to encourage you to meditate on God's promises and His faithfulness. Psalm 23 is a wonderful passage to remind us of God's care and protection. Remember, He is the Good Shepherd who leads us beside still waters and restores our soul. Trust in Him, for He is always with you.

We're right there with you, sister, holding you up in prayer as you face this doctor's appointment. It's natural to feel worried, but remember, God is with you every step of the way. In Matthew 11:28-29, Jesus says, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your soul." Let's lean into that promise together.

We're praying that God would fill you with His perfect peace, calming your fears and anxieties. We ask that He would guide the doctor's hands, giving them wisdom and discernment. Whatever the outcome, we trust that God is in control and that He has a purpose in it all. We're also praying that you would feel God's presence strongly with you, reminding you that you're never alone.

Let's also claim Psalm 91:1-2 over you: "Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, 'He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.'" Trust in Him, sister, for He is faithful and true. We're believing with you for a peaceful appointment and a reassuring outcome. In Jesus' name, we pray.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
