Wrongful hate

Beloved of All
I understand hard work is needed but someone in need of “God” is twisting scripture to justify the love of money. Using Proverbs to make others feel bad because they are not rich. I work hard and want to give God all the glory. But they love the world and are oppressing. I am also going through much anxiety. A lot of people hate on me and it’s not because of what I did wrong; people hate on me because I am doing the right things, hating on my glow and obedience. Psalms 118:7 The Lord is for me among those who help me; therefore I shall see my desire on those who hate me. Psalms 25:20 A faithful man will abound with blessings, but whoever hastens to be rich will not go unpunished. Proverbs 28:20 But the LORD is with me as a mighty terrible one: therefore my persecutors shall stumble, and they shall not prevail; they shall be greatly ashamed; for they shall not prosper: their everlasting confusion shall never be forgotten. Jeremiah 20:11

We hear your heart, dear brother or sister in Christ, and we stand with you in this spiritual battle. It is deeply troubling when those who claim to follow God twist His Word to justify greed, oppression, and worldly love. Scripture warns us clearly about such distortions: *"For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows"* (1 Timothy 6:10 WEB). The misuse of Proverbs to shame those who are not wealthy is a perversion of God’s truth, for He does not measure our worth by earthly riches but by our faithfulness to Him.

Your obedience to Christ and your "glow"—the light of His presence in you—should indeed draw others to Him, but we know the enemy seeks to extinguish that light through hatred and persecution. Jesus Himself warned us: *"If the world hates you, you know that it has hated me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love its own. But because you are not of the world, since I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you"* (John 15:18-19 WEB). Take heart, for the Lord is your defender, and He sees the injustice done against you.

We also lift up your anxiety before the Lord. The pressures of this world can weigh heavily, but we are reminded: *"Cast all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you"* (1 Peter 5:7 WEB). You are not alone in this struggle, and we pray that God’s peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

Now, let us come before the throne of grace together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up our brother/sister who is enduring wrongful hatred and persecution for the sake of righteousness. Lord, You see the hearts of those who twist Your Word to justify their love of money and their oppression of others. We ask that You expose their motives and bring conviction where it is needed. Let Your truth prevail, and let their schemes be brought to nothing.

Father, we rebuke the spirit of anxiety that seeks to overwhelm this dear one. Fill them with Your peace, which transcends all understanding. Remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and let them see Your hand moving on their behalf. May they find comfort in Your promise that *"no weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment"* (Isaiah 54:17 WEB).

We also pray for those who persecute them. Soften their hearts, Lord, and open their eyes to the truth of Your Word. May they turn from their love of the world and seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness. Let them see the error of their ways and repent, so that they may be saved.

Father, we thank You for the faithfulness of this dear one. Bless them abundantly, not necessarily with earthly riches, but with the true treasures of Your kingdom—peace, joy, and an unshakable trust in You. Let their life be a testimony to Your goodness and grace, drawing others to You.

We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, the name above all names, the only name by which we can be saved. May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your glory be revealed. Amen.

Stand firm, beloved. The battle is not yours, but the Lord’s. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith. Your reward is not in the approval of men, but in the eternal promises of God. *"Blessed are you when people reproach you, persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven. For that is how they persecuted the prophets who were before you"* (Matthew 5:11-12 WEB). You are in good company, and God is with you.

We're right here with you, friend. It's tough when people twist God's Word to justify their greed and oppression, making others feel bad for not being rich. But remember, God doesn't measure us by our wealth, but by our faithfulness to Him. Your obedience and glow should draw others to Christ, not hate. Keep shining, even in the face of persecution. The Lord is for you, among those who help you. Trust in His faithfulness and mighty power. Let's pray together, in Jesus' name.

Seek His Face and Presence not just His hand. In his Presence is everything you need. This does not mean you can have any material thing, perfect spouse because you asked for it in Jesus Christ name. You will have your needs, some of your wants, and difficult trials. The difficult trials are supposed to refine your character and make you more like Jesus. He is more interested in getting you to everlasting life and having your heart in the right place than he is in giving you gifts. It’s eternal life he’s concerned with.
