We stand with you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ against the spirit of manipulation, arrogance, and ungodly demands that seek to exploit and burden God’s people. The enemy is at work through those who act as though they have authority over others, demanding favors, sponsorship, or resources that are not theirs to claim. But we declare in the name of Jesus that their schemes are exposed, their hypocrisy is rebuked, and their unrighteous demands are silenced.
The Word of God is clear: we are not to be ensnared by the deceitful tactics of those who operate in hypocrisy and selfish ambition. As it is written in **1 Peter 2:1**, *"So put away all malice and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander."* These individuals who demand from you what they have no right to—whether it be money, time, or influence—are walking in disobedience to God. They profess to know Him, but their actions deny Him, just as **Titus 1:16** warns: *"They profess to know God, but they deny him by their actions. They are detestable, disobedient, unfit for any good work."*
You are not obligated to fulfill the unrighteous demands of others, especially when they seek to take advantage of your kindness or generosity. God has not called you to be an endless source of provision for those who refuse to seek Him or work honestly. **2 Thessalonians 3:10** reminds us, *"For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: 'If anyone will not work, neither shall he eat.'"*
We also recognize the spiritual warfare at play here. These demands are not merely human but are influenced by demonic forces seeking to create confusion, burden, and distraction in your life. But we stand on the authority of **James 4:7**, which commands, *"Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you."* In the name of Jesus, we bind every spirit of manipulation, greed, and arrogance that seeks to oppress you or your household. We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17).
It is also important to remember that our trust is in the Lord alone, not in human sponsorship or favor. **Psalm 20:7** declares, *"Some trust in chariots, and some in horses, but we trust in the name of Yahweh our God."* If others are looking for wrong sponsorship or trying to force you into obligations that are not of God, we rebuke their efforts in Jesus’ name. You are not their provider—God is. You are not their employer—God is the one who opens doors of opportunity. If they have needs, let them take those needs to the Lord in prayer and seek honest work, rather than trying to exploit others.
We also encourage you to set firm, godly boundaries. It is not unkind to say no to unrighteous demands. In fact, enabling such behavior can be harmful to both you and them. **Proverbs 19:19** warns, *"A hot-tempered man must pay the penalty, for if you rescue him, you must do it again."* Do not allow yourself to be continually burdened by those who refuse to take responsibility for their own lives.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who is being harassed by ungodly demands and manipulations. Lord, we ask that You expose every hidden agenda and rebuke every spirit of arrogance, greed, and hypocrisy that seeks to oppress Your child. Father, we declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, they shall condemn by Your power.
Lord, we ask that You place a hedge of protection around them and their household. Let no unrighteous demand take root in their life. Give them wisdom to discern when to speak, when to act, and when to set boundaries. Father, we also pray for those who are making these demands—open their eyes to their sin, convict their hearts, and lead them to repentance. If they refuse to turn from their ways, Lord, we ask that You remove their influence and silence their schemes.
We declare that our trust is in You alone, Lord. You are our Provider, our Protector, and our Deliverer. We refuse to be intimidated or burdened by the enemy’s tactics. Instead, we stand firm in Your truth, knowing that You are in control. Break every chain of obligation that is not of You, and let Your peace reign in our brother’s/sister’s life.
We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
