Writing down provisions I am believing to receive

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Amen and Honour to Jesus. I am following your advice and writing down my proviso that I am waiting to materialize. My friend’s unrestricted bank account, my relocation funding and secure housing and funding for my special visit, new fitting dentures and funding for my special visit. All these things I am believing to manifest for me in Jesus mighty name with gratitude I wait amen thank you for your int

We rejoice with you in the faith you are exercising as you write down the provisions you are believing God to provide, trusting in His goodness and power. It is good to bring our requests before the Lord with thanksgiving, as Scripture encourages us:

"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:6-7 WEB)

We also want to encourage you to align your heart with God’s will in these requests. While it is not wrong to ask God for financial provision, housing, or other needs, we must ensure our motives are pure and that we are not placing our trust in material things above our trust in Him. Jesus reminds us:

"Therefore I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don’t sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you of much more value than they?" (Matthew 6:25-26 WEB)

Regarding the mention of your "friend’s unrestricted bank account," we must gently rebuke any thought of covetousness or envy. Scripture is clear:

"You shall not covet your neighbor’s house. You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor’s." (Exodus 20:17 WEB)

Instead, we should trust God to provide for our needs in His way and His time. He is our ultimate Provider, and His plans for us are good:

"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you," says Yahweh, "thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB)

Let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith, lifting up our brother/sister who is trusting in You for provision. Lord, we ask that You would meet every need according to Your riches in glory. Provide secure housing, funding for the special visit, and the resources needed for new dentures. We pray that You would open doors no one can shut and provide in ways that only You can. Father, we also ask that You would guard his/her heart from covetousness or envy, and help him/her to trust in You alone as the ultimate Provider. May Your will be done in every area of his/her life, and may Your name be glorified through it all. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking God’s kingdom first, knowing that all these things will be added unto you (Matthew 6:33). Keep your focus on Him, and He will direct your steps. If there are areas where you need wisdom or guidance, ask the Lord, and He will give it generously (James 1:5). Walk in faith, but also in contentment, knowing that God is with you and will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5).

We're so glad you’ve written these things down and are waiting with expectancy. There’s something about getting a hope onto paper that helps us stand firm while we wait, it’s a quiet act of faith every time we look at it again. Naming what you’re trusting Jesus for, as you’ve done, takes courage. It says you believe He hears you and that these needs matter to Him.

As you wait, we also want to offer something practical. Several of the needs you listed involve finances and planning, your friend’s situation, your relocation and housing, funding for a special visit. If you haven’t done so already, you might sit down with someone from your church who understands budgeting and financial planning. Many congregations have a business manager or someone who helps with these things at no cost, and an experienced set of eyes can sometimes spot a path forward or a resource you hadn’t considered. It’s not a lack of trust to plan, it’s simply good stewardship while you wait on God’s provision.

And when you mention new dentures, we’d encourage you to also keep moving forward with a dental professional as you’re able. It’s wise to care for your body while you pray, trusting that God works through the hands of those with skill.

We’re standing with you in this season of waiting, grateful with you for how Jesus meets His people in these very real, everyday needs.

Jesus, we lift up our friend to You and thank You for the faith You’ve planted in their heart. We ask for Your provision to unfold in the days ahead, breakthrough for a friend’s finances, open doors for relocation and secure housing, and the resources needed for a special visit. Please make a way for new, well-fitting dentures and the funding to obtain them. Give steady peace while the waiting continues, and surprise them with Your kindness. In Your name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

I read your list with great interest, for there is wisdom in setting your requests before the Lord and putting your expectations in writing. You do well to honour the name of Jesus in this, for to Him belongs all power in heaven and on earth. Yet I would speak to you as one sitting in your own home, asking a few questions of your soul.

What if the Lord, in His infinite wisdom, should delay your friend’s unrestricted bank account? Might it be that He is teaching you to draw from treasures unsearchable, that your dependence might rest wholly upon Him? When a man’s purse is empty, he learns to fill his mouth with prayer, and that is no small gain. The relocation you await, the secure housing, the dentures, the special visit, these are counted as needs before His throne, yet remember that He who visits His people with salvation has already given you the greater gift. Shall He not with Christ freely give you all things?

I urge you now to make this a time of special protracted prayer, not merely listing the provisions, but kneeling as a convicted sinner would kneel, crying, “Visit me with Your salvation before You visit me with silver!” Let your season be set apart, as Jacob did at Bethel, casting away every idol, even the lawful desire that presses too eagerly for an answer. Say to your soul, “Soul, you have fed leanly of late; you must feast upon His faithfulness.”

Your gratitude already rises like incense, and this is pleasing to God. But do not forget that every gift must arrive with a special benediction of mercy, peace, and love multiplied to your heart. It may be that the funding for your special visit will come; it may be delayed. But if He gives you Himself in the waiting hour, you will have received far more than gold. I implore you, do not let your faith hang upon these temporal things alone. Write on your heart, as you have written on the page, “Lord, visit me!” And when He comes, whether with abundance or with want, you will learn, as I have learned, that the remedy for every form of soul-sickness is found in His presence.

Go therefore and pray with double zeal, laying hold of the promise. He has answered you in the day of your distress before, He will be with you in this way also. But take care that the desire for provision does not outrun the desire for the Provider. Bring your list to the mercy seat, but leave it there in the keeping of Him who heard your first cry and will hear your last.

I have heard your request and the specific provisions you have written down. There is a good impulse in placing your needs before God with gratitude, yet consider well what you are seeking. You speak of an unrestricted bank account and funding for housing and visits, but examine your heart: are these provisions for necessity or for the fulfillment of lusts beyond what is needful? For the Apostle instructs us to make provision for the flesh, yet not to fulfill its lusts. There is a provision for health and there is a provision for wantonness. To seek what is fitting for the body's care is one thing, but to desire an unrestricted flow of wealth is often to kindle a furnace of desire that consumes spiritual vigor.

When we look upon creation, we see that God already makes provision for our life through all things, not only for our need but for our dignified station. The unwearied Hand that stretched out the heavens and appointed the seasons has not grown weary in caring for you. Why then is your faith fixed upon a specific bank account and a particular relocation as though these alone could satisfy? The present life is a sleep, and the things in it are no different from dreams. Those who grow rich in a dream find themselves convicted of emptiness when the day comes. Before we depart to the other life, such dreams often fly away. Seek rather to have your flesh in health and spend your industry on the care of spiritual things. For even if we have possessions, we are to use the world as not abusing it. It is possible, even with modest means, to pursue virtue, if we will. I would not have you make provision in such a way that, finding your pursuits unamended, a harsher chastisement should visit you. Instead, let your written request be pruned to what is needful for health and godliness, and your heart fixed not on the provision but on the Provider who knows what you need before you ask.
