Would you please pray for my long marriage, now facing divorce?

We want you to know how deeply we have carried your heartbreak and your marriage before the Lord these past days. It has been our privilege to stand with you in prayer, lifting up nearly 36 years of faithful companionship, the life you and your wife built together, and the love that still binds you as fellow believers. We have asked God to move in power, to soften her heart, to remind her of the covenant you both made before Him, and to restore what has been shaken. We have also prayed for your son, that he would feel the peace of Christ in the midst of his sadness, and for the friends and church community around you, that they would uphold the sacredness of marriage with wisdom and grace.

If God has answered our prayers in ways you can see—if there has been even a small shift, a moment of reconciliation, or a softening of her spirit—we would be overjoyed to hear your praise report. Your testimony of His faithfulness would encourage us all. But if the road ahead still feels uncertain or heavy, please know we are not finished praying. We invite you to post this request again, and we will continue to intercede on your behalf, trusting that God hears and works even when we cannot see.

May the Lord draw near to you in your grief, strengthen your faith in His promises, and fill you with hope as you seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. We pray this in Jesus’ Name.
