WORSHIP HIS MAJESTY
O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory above the heavens. From the lips of children and infants you have ordained praise because of your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger. Psalm 8:1-2
This Lord's Day may you praise the Lord for His greatness and His majesty! Worship the Lord as if He was the only One around you. I pray that every day you will surrender your life and marriage to His will and way, to His plan and to His purposes. You must get to the point of believing and trusting the Lord that He will be with you in the good and the bad days. God wants the best for you and your marriage. Will you pick up your cross and follow the Lord daily?
The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is majestic. Psalm 29:4
Great is our Lord and mighty in power; his understanding has no limit. Psalm 147:5
Worship your Lord today in a new more personal way. His greatness no one can truly understand. When you start receiving answers to your prayers, you will start to believe how holy and awesome your Lord God really is. He can and will do more for you than most believers can even imagine. You must put Him first in your life.
Are you seeking the Lord for His divine direction in your life and marriage daily? Ask Him to show you which way you should go--to the right or to the left (Isaiah 30:19-21). Ask Him to protect your spouse, your children, your health, your finances, or employment or open the right doorway for a new job for you to be able to provide for your family and pay all your bills. Ask the Holy Spirit to speak to you loudly enough for you to hear His soft voice. Now you must spend some quiet time with the Lord to be able to hear His voice. Listen to Him. Then be obedient to His voice, to His will and way in your life.
I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you... Many are the woes of the wicked, but the Lord's unfailing love surrounds the man who trusts in him. Psalm 32:8, 10
Regardless, of what you are facing today, praise your Lord and worship Him. I pray that you will sense His presence as you worship Him and think of the awesome greatness of the Lord. May you and I never forget that He inhabits the praises of His people. Do you know the song, Majesty written by Jack Hayford? He wrote this beautiful praise song for his church to worship the Lord. May this Lord’s Day with a very special day with the Lord and loved ones.
Majesty
Majesty, worship His majesty. Unto Jesus be all glory, power and praise! Majesty, Kingdom authority, Flow from His throne, unto His own, His anthem raise.
So exalt, lift up on High the name of Jesus. Magnify, come glorify Christ Jesus, the King! Majesty, worship His majesty, Jesus, who died, now glorified, King of all kings.
"Yours, O LORD ; is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is yours. Yours, O LORD, is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all. Wealth and honor come from you; you are the ruler of all things. In your hands are strength and power to exalt and give strength to all. Now, our God, we give you thanks, and praise your glorious name." 1 Chronicles 29:11-13
I pray that this week you will make time every day to worship the Lord with one or two songs, spend time reading His Word and pray for others (go to our Chapel page) before you pray for all your personal needs and desires for your family and marriage. The Lord can use you right now every day praying for others who are battling life-threatening illnesses, pray for all the people living in Boulder, Colorado and other towns close by effected by the flooding, for the many people in Mexico due to the hurricane damage, the many people who have lost their businesses and homes due to fires. When you start praying for others you will turn your focus to others instead of your own problems.
…The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective. James 5:16
One of the most important prayers that you can pray daily is for the salvation of your husband or wife, for the salvation of your children and every family member on both sides of you and your spouse's family. You want to pray daily for every family members to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord of their lives.
Let me share a couple of scriptures that you can pray for them daily until you see the evidence of their life serving the Lord Jesus Christ:
“Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved — you and your household.†Acts 16:31
“Repent! Turn away from all your offenses; then sin will not be your downfall. Rid yourselves of all the offenses you have committed, and get a new heart and a new spirit.†Ezekiel 18:30-31
“Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off — for all whom the Lord our God will call.†Acts 2:38-39
What powerful scriptures to pray for your beloved husband or wife this week and for all your family members. Write them down in your prayer journal or on index cards to put around your house or in your car for you to memorize these scriptures and to be persistent in praying them.
Now let's pray:
Lord, I lift up my beloved husband/wife and all the prodigals and loved ones who are away from You this Sunday. May Your men of God speak the Word and Your Truth today, so that every sinner, all prodigals and loved ones around the world, will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the enemy. May You open all our loved ones spiritual eyes and ears to hear and see the Truth. May You send godly men and women to speak Your Truths to my beloved spouse daily. I pray in agreement with other standers around the world that Your Truth will set prodigals free this Lord's Day. I pray that (insert name) and all the spouses who are away from You will become broken, humbled, confessing their sins, repenting and turning their lives 180 degrees from their wicked ways by accepting Jesus as Savior and Lord of their lives. I pray that they will be obedient to Your voice, to Your will, to Your way, and to Your instructions for their life and marriage. Lord, set Your prisoners free from the bondages of sin today in the mighty name of Jesus. Your Blood has paid the price for my husband/wife, all prodigal spouses and loved ones to be set free from their sins. Thank You, Lord for Your amazing love. How majestic is Your name! Your name is above all names. I love You, Lord. I praise Your holy name. In Jesus Name I pray. Amen.
