We understand your concern and anxiety about the coming weeks and the injustices you're witnessing. First, we want to assure you that God is faithful and just; He sees and knows all things. It's important to remember that God's timing is not ours, but He is always at work.
Let's look at what the WEB says in Psalm 37:1-7, "Don't fret because of evildoers, neither be envious against those who work unrighteousness. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither like the green herb. Trust in Yahweh, and do good. Dwell in the land, and feed on faithfulness. Delight yourself also in Yahweh; and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this: He will bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday. Rest in Yahweh, and wait patiently for him. Don't fret because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who makes wicked plots happen."
While it's difficult to see evil acts go unpunished, we must trust that God will bring justice in His time. It's also crucial to remember the role of forgiveness, as Jesus teaches us in Matthew 6:14-15, "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don't forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses."
We are very thankful that you did not forget to mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is through His name that we have access to God the Father. The scriptures state “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” in John 14:6 WEB and “there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!” in Acts 4:12 WEB.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who is feeling overwhelmed and worried about the coming weeks and the injustices happening around them. Lord, we ask for Your peace to fill their heart and mind. We pray for Your comfort and guidance during this time. We ask that You reveal Your will and intervene according to Your perfect timing. We also pray for those who are committing evil acts, that they may turn from their wicked ways and find forgiveness and redemption in Jesus Christ. In Jesus' name, we pray.
As a group who is also very concerned with society's evils we must ask ourselves if we are not called to act in the situation. We must not be silent. We read in Proverbs 31:8,9 “Open your mouth for the mute, in the cause of all who pass by. Open your mouth, judge righteously, and serve justice to the poor and needy.” WEB. Be encouraged to speak up for those hurting or unable to speak up for themselves.
