Humble Servant of All
Things are changing in the world and in the US it seems. I don’t know how I would handle if I ever were to be persecuted. I am a drug addict addicted to nicotine and I have schizophrenia. I don’t have much strength left in me.

We hear your deep concern and fear about the growing hostility toward faith in this world, and we want you to know that you are not alone. The Bible tells us that persecution will come for those who follow Christ, but it also assures us that God’s strength is made perfect in our weakness. Jesus said, *"Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven"* (Matthew 5:10). Even in your struggles with addiction and mental health, the Lord sees you, loves you, and promises to sustain you.

First, we must address the nicotine addiction. The Bible warns us, *"Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body"* (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Addiction enslaves, but Christ came to set the captives free (Luke 4:18). We rebuke this bondage in Jesus’ name and pray for your deliverance. You are not defined by this struggle—you are defined by the One who died to break every chain.

Your schizophrenia does not disqualify you from God’s purpose or His peace. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We pray for clarity, stability, and divine healing over your mind. The enemy may try to distort your thoughts, but we declare that God’s truth will prevail. *"For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind"* (2 Timothy 1:7). You are not weak—you are held by the One who calms the storms.

As for persecution, we do not know what the future holds, but we know who holds the future. Jesus warned that the world would hate us because it hated Him first (John 15:18-19), but He also promised, *"I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world"* (John 16:33). If you have not yet surrendered your life fully to Christ, now is the time. Only through Him can you find the strength to endure. If you have already given your life to Him, we pray for boldness, wisdom, and unwavering faith in the face of opposition.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our brother/sister who is afraid of what the future may hold. Lord, You see their struggles—addiction, mental illness, and the weight of a world that is turning away from You. We ask for Your healing touch to break the chains of nicotine and restore their mind. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Strengthen them with Your power so that they may stand firm when persecution comes. Remind them that You are their refuge and fortress (Psalm 91:2). Father, if they have not yet fully surrendered to You, draw them close and let them know that salvation is found in no one else but Jesus (Acts 4:12). Equip them with courage, faith, and the assurance that You will never leave nor forsake them (Hebrews 13:5). In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

You are not forgotten. You are not powerless. The same God who parted the Red Sea, raised Jesus from the dead, and turned fishermen into apostles is with you. Lean on Him, seek His Word, and let His strength carry you through every trial. We stand with you in prayer and faith.

We're right there with you, brother/sister. It's scary, isn't it? The world seems to be changing, and it's easy to feel overwhelmed. But remember, we're not alone in this. Jesus promised He'd be with us always, even to the very end of the age (Matthew 28:20).

First things first, let's tackle the nicotine addiction. We know it's hard, but remember, your body is God's temple, and He wants the best for you (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Let's pray together right now, "Lord, in Jesus' name, we break the chains of nicotine addiction. Fill our brother/sister with Your strength and help them to honor You with their body."

Now, about the schizophrenia, we want you to know that God sees you, and He loves you just the way you are. He's not put off by our struggles; in fact, He's drawn to them because it's in our weakness that He gets to show His strength (2 Corinthians 12:9). Let's pray, "Lord, bring clarity and healing to our brother/sister's mind. Fill them with Your peace and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7)."

And finally, persecution. It's a tough topic, but Jesus warned us it would come (John 15:18-19). But He also promised He's overcome the world (John 16:33). So, let's pray, "Lord, give our brother/sister boldness and wisdom to face whatever comes their way. Help them to trust in You and Your promises."

We're here for you, praying with you, believing with you. You're not alone, and you're not forgotten. Keep trusting in Jesus, and let His strength be made perfect in your weakness.

Heavenly Father,

We lift up this precious one who feels the weight of a changing world, the struggle of personal battles, and a deep weariness of spirit. They feel vulnerable, carrying the heavy burdens of illness and addiction, and fear they have no strength left for what may come.

We bring them to the foot of Your throne, claiming Your promises over their life. Your Word says, **"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness" (2 Corinthians 12:9).** May they feel the truth of this in their deepest being. In their fear of persecution or hardship, remind them that **"The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid?" (Psalm 27:1).**

We ask that You be their defender and their comfort. When they feel lost in the storm of their mind, anchor them with the truth that **"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit" (Psalm 34:18).** They are not forgotten; they are seen. We pray for Your healing hand upon their mind and body, and for Your deliverance in their struggle. Renew a right spirit within them and restore their hope.

In the mighty and compassionate name of Jesus, Amen.

We are so grateful you entrusted us with your heart and your fears about the growing challenges in the world and the possibility of persecution. It takes courage to share such deep concerns, especially when you’re also carrying the weight of addiction and the struggles that come with schizophrenia. We want you to know that we have continued to lift you up daily, asking our Heavenly Father to surround you with His strength, peace, and protection.

We’ve prayed specifically that God would fortify your heart and mind, giving you the resilience to stand firm in your faith no matter what comes. We’ve asked Him to break the chains of addiction in your life, replacing that bondage with His freedom and healing. We’ve also prayed for His comfort to calm the storms in your mind, reminding you that He is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). You are not alone in this battle, and we believe God is working even when it’s hard to see.

If you’ve experienced any breakthroughs—whether in your faith, your health, or your daily walk—we would love to hear a praise report so we can rejoice with you. If the burden still feels heavy or the answers haven’t come yet, please don’t hesitate to share this request again. We are committed to standing with you, praying alongside you, and trusting God to move in ways only He can.
