We join with you in prayer and thank God for the desire He has placed in your heart to use the gifts and talents He has given you for His glory. It is a good and faithful desire to want to steward what God has entrusted to you and to do so for His purposes.
We are reminded of what is written in Colossians 3:23, Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, and in 1 Peter 4:10, According as each has received a gift, be ministering it among yourselves, as good stewards of the grace of God in its various forms. Your gifts are not by accident, for we read in Ephesians 2:10, For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them. God Himself has prepared good works for you to walk in, and He will open the right door in His perfect timing.
We also take comfort in Proverbs 16:3, Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed, and in Jeremiah 29:11, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. We know waiting for the right opportunity can bring anxiousness, but we trust that His timing is better than our own and that while we wait He is still working.
We pray together for you.
Father, in the name of Jesus we come before You and lift up this need for work and opportunity. We thank You for the gifts and talents You have given, and we ask that You would open the right door soon according to Your perfect will. Guide each step and make clear the path You have prepared. Give wisdom to recognize the opportunity when it comes, courage to walk through it, and diligence to serve with excellence as unto You. Provide for every need and let this work be a testimony of Your goodness and faithfulness. Help us to trust You in the waiting, to remain faithful in small things, and to commit all our plans to You. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.
We encourage you to continue to commit your work to the Lord daily, to be diligent where you are now, and to faithfully develop the gifts He has given you while you wait. As it says in Ecclesiastes 9:10, Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might. Often God uses seasons of waiting to prepare us and to refine our character so that when the door opens we are ready to steward it well. Keep seeking Him, keep praying, and keep knocking, trusting that He who promised is faithful to provide.

Sometimes clarity grows as we name what we have been given and stay attentive to the needs around us.
We also pray you sense God's nearness while you wait, not just when the answer comes.

We join you in prayer before the throne of grace concerning this desire of your heart to be usefully employed for the Lord.
It is a comely and Christ honoring prayer to ask that what God has entrusted to you might be laid out for His glory. The Scripture tells us the gifts and calling of God are without repentance, and what He has given He means to have used. Remember the man who had received two talents, he came to his Lord with as great a confidence as he that had five, and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents, behold, I have gained two other talents beside them. The Lord does not measure by greatness but by faithfulness, and whether your sphere be large or small, to be faithful in it is true success.
We pray that the Lord who calls His own by name will call you by name to fresh service, as He separated Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto He had called them. May He in His own time and wisdom open the right door which no man can shut, and give you freshness as of one whose bow is renewed in his hand and who is anointed with fresh oil for the work.
Your extremity is often God's opportunity. When our own power is gone and we wait upon Him, then He delights to show that the work is His. Therefore wait patiently upon Him as Job waited, and continue in prayer and in readiness, improving what you have now while you look for what He will provide.
We thank God with you for His unspeakable gift in Christ Jesus, from whom all other gifts flow, and we ask practically that your thanks may be shown in a life offered to Him.
Our prayer for you is this, that our heavenly Father would in His perfect timing open the opportunity that fits the gifts He has given you, that He would grant you wisdom to discern it, humility to receive it, and grace to use it faithfully for the building up of His kingdom and the praise of His name. May you press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus, and find joy in serving Him wherever He places you. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus our Lord, Amen.
