We understand the weight of your heart in this matter, and we commend you for recognizing your limitations and seeking God’s wisdom rather than proceeding in your own strength. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and humility is a virtue that pleases Him. You have done well to bring this before the Father, for He is the source of all true knowledge and understanding.
The Scriptures remind us in James 1:5, *"But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him."* You have already taken this step by seeking God’s direction, and we trust He will provide clarity and a way forward. Additionally, Proverbs 3:5-6 instructs us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* This is not a moment for shame or fear, but an opportunity to trust God’s sovereignty and His ability to work all things together for good—both for you and for the student you sought to help.
It is also important to act with integrity and honesty. If you have committed to assist this student, it is right to approach them with humility and transparency about your limitations. I will pray for you and trust that God will provide the right assistance for you to succeed."* This approach honors God and respects the student’s needs.
As for the student’s success, we know that God cares deeply about their future. Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us, *"For I know the plans that I have for you,’ says Yahweh, ‘plans of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."* While you may not be the one to guide them academically, your prayers on their behalf are powerful. God can open doors for them to receive the help they need, whether through another tutor, a study group, or divine insight as they prepare.

Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister to You, acknowledging their heart of willingness to serve and help others.
