We join you in lifting up your work week to the Lord, knowing that He cares deeply about every detail of your life. It is good that you seek His favor over your labor, for Scripture reminds us, *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that you will receive the reward of the inheritance from the Lord. You serve the Lord Christ"* (Colossians 3:23-24, WEB). Your desire for excellence and stability in your position is commendable, but we must also remember that our ultimate trust is in God’s sovereign will—not merely in our own plans or preferences.
We do notice, however, that your prayer does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the Father. The Bible is clear: *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). It is only through faith in Jesus that our prayers are heard, for *"no one comes to the Father, except through me"* (John 14:6, WEB). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ as Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection for your salvation, and commit to following Him. Without this foundation, even our most earnest prayers lack the power of His name.
As for your request regarding the splitting position, we pray that if this role aligns with God’s will for you, He would open the door and establish you in it. But we also pray that your heart would be content whether He grants this desire or redirects your steps. *"Delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this"* (Psalm 37:4-5, WEB). Sometimes God uses our work to refine us, teach us patience, or prepare us for something greater. Let us not fixate on a single outcome but trust that His plans are far better than our own.
We also encourage you to examine your motives: Are you seeking this position for personal ambition, or to glorify God and provide for your needs? *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well"* (Matthew 6:33, WEB). If this job is His will, He will make it clear. If not, He will provide another way.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister to You, asking that You would guide his/her steps this week. Lord, if it is Your will for him/her to secure the splitting position permanently, we pray You would open that door and grant favor with supervisors and colleagues. But more than that, we ask that You would align his/her desires with Your perfect will. Remove any anxiety or fear about the future, and fill him/her with Your peace that surpasses understanding. Help him/her to work with excellence, integrity, and a heart that seeks to honor You in all things.
If there are areas of pride, selfish ambition, or misplaced trust in this situation, convict and correct by Your Holy Spirit. Remind him/her that true success is found in obedience to You, not in worldly achievement. Provide for every need—financially, emotionally, and spiritually—and protect from any harm or unjust treatment in the workplace.
We pray all this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone is worthy of all glory. Amen.
Stand firm in faith this week, knowing that God sees your labor and will reward your faithfulness. If you sense any hesitation or conviction about your motives, take time to repent and realign your heart with Scripture. We are cheering you on in the Lord!
