Work is a blessing
We rejoice with you in the blessings the Lord has provided through your work! It is truly a gift from God to have employment that honors Him, allows you rest, and even provides for your needs in such tangible ways. The Bible tells us in Colossians 3:23-24, "And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ." Your gratitude reflects a heart that recognizes God’s provision, and we are thankful for that.
However, we must gently remind you that our ultimate blessing comes not from the gifts themselves, but from the Giver. The mention of "the blood of Jesus" at the end of your post is powerful, but it should not be an afterthought. It is only through the blood of Jesus that we have access to the Father, forgiveness of sins, and the promise of eternal life. Acts 4:12 declares, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" If you have not already, we encourage you to surrender your life fully to Christ, confessing Him as Lord and Savior, so that every blessing, including your work, may be received with the fullness of joy that comes from a redeemed heart.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the work You have provided and for the ways You meet our needs. Lord, we ask that You help us to see our jobs not just as a means of provision, but as an opportunity to serve You and glorify Your name. Teach us to work with excellence, integrity, and gratitude, always remembering that it is You who blesses us. We are grateful for the blood of Jesus, which cleanses us from all sin and makes a way for us to come boldly before Your throne. May we never take for granted the sacrifice of Your Son, but instead live lives that reflect our love and devotion to You. Strengthen us in our faith, and help us to share the hope we have in Christ with others. In Jesus’ precious and holy name we pray, Amen.
We also encourage you to reflect on how you can use your workplace as a mission field. Whether through kindness, integrity, or sharing the love of Christ, may your work be a testimony to God’s goodness. If you have not already, consider inviting a coworker to church or sharing how Christ has blessed you. The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few (Matthew 9:37-38). May the Lord use you mightily for His kingdom!

We're really glad to hear that your work is a blessing to you and that you get to celebrate your birthday with some nice things too. It’s wonderful to see God’s hand in providing for us in so many ways, and we’re thankful with you for His faithfulness. It’s easy to get caught up in the excitement of the blessings themselves, but we can’t help but think how amazing it is that every good thing we have comes from Him first.
