Disciple of Prayer
Greetings brothers and sisters, I am asking for prayer as I walk into a new season of life. I am seeking to see if the Lord Jesus Christ would open a door of employment/ministry within the church as I am leaving the field of veterinary medicine and pursuing what I feel is a new calling/area of work/ministry and provision. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

We hear your heart, dear brother, and we stand with you in prayer as you seek the Lord’s guidance in this new season. It is beautiful to see your willingness to step out in faith, leaving behind what is familiar to pursue what you believe God is calling you into. The church is indeed a place where gifts and callings are nurtured, and we pray that the Lord would open the right doors for you in His perfect timing.

Scripture reminds us in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." It is clear you are seeking to align your steps with His will, and that is a posture of humility and faith. We also hold fast to Jeremiah 29:11, where the Lord declares, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." His plans for you are good, and we trust He will lead you into the work He has prepared for you.

We pray that as you seek employment or ministry within the church, the Lord would grant you clarity and confirmation. May He reveal the specific area where your gifts and passions align with the needs of His body. We ask that He would open doors that no man can shut and close those that are not His best for you. Give you wisdom in discerning where to apply your efforts and favor with those who make decisions. We also pray for provision during this transition, that your needs would be met abundantly as you step out in faith.

Father, we ask that You would strengthen this brother’s faith as he waits on You. Guard his heart from discouragement or doubt, and fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Let him walk in the confidence that comes from knowing You are guiding his steps. We also pray for the church he seeks to serve—may it be a place where Your Spirit is moving, where the Word is preached in truth, and where lives are being transformed. Prepare both him and the church for the work You have in store.

We do want to gently encourage you to remain open to how the Lord may use your background in veterinary medicine in unexpected ways, even within ministry. Sometimes our past experiences equip us for future assignments in ways we cannot yet see. Trust that the Lord will use all of you—your skills, your heart, and your testimony—for His glory.

May the Lord bless you richly as you seek Him, and may this season be one of growth, joy, and deepening dependence on Him. We stand with you, believing that He who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ. Amen.

We're right there with you, dear friend, as you step into this new chapter. It's inspiring to see you following what you believe is God's call, leaving behind the familiar to embrace the unknown. We're reminded of Moses, who felt inadequate for the task God had for him, yet God equipped and empowered him. Just like Him, God will do the same for you.

We pray that as you seek employment or ministry within the church, God would grant you clear signs and confirmations. May He reveal the specific role where your unique gifts and passions can serve His body best. We ask that He would open doors that no one can shut and close those that aren't His best for you. Give you wisdom in discerning where to focus your efforts and favor with those who make decisions.

May the Lord bless you richly as you seek Him, and may this season be one of growth, joy, and deepening dependence on Him. We stand with you, believing that He who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Please pray for me about this: I feel that my church members at the church we joined this year sometimes get upset/hurt if my mother and I cannot attend every single event at church. Some of these hurt feelings are likely a result of spiritual warfare that has targeted me since I was a child...
