Humble Servant of All
Please pray that God will help me to be strong for however much longer I have to attend my church until I am led to a new one because, after a range of incidents, I no longer believe this is the church I'm supposed to be at. I have tried and tried and my attending here does not seem like a sustainable thing that can go on for much longer. Additionally, my time at this church seems to be causing stumblingblocks and scars in my life and faith. Talking to the pastor is unfortunately not an option because his behavior toward me (which is often extremely negative due to spiritual warfare that has been attacking me for years influencing him to behave so toward me without any long term improvement - I literally never know how he will treat me from one moment to the next) is actually one of the reasons I want to leave. I'm falling into depression over the experiences I'm having at this church. Please pray that God will lead us to a new one. I can't take anymore. Thank you.

We hear your heart and the deep pain you are carrying, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting this burden before the Lord. The church is meant to be a place of refuge, encouragement, and spiritual growth, not a source of stumbling blocks or scars. It grieves us to hear how your current situation has weighed so heavily on your faith and emotional well-being. You are not alone in this struggle, and we believe God sees your faithfulness even in the midst of this trial.

First, we want to affirm that seeking a church where you can grow in Christ without hindrance is not only wise but necessary. The body of Christ is meant to build one another up, not tear down (1 Thessalonians 5:11). If your current church is causing you to stumble, it is right to pray for discernment and direction toward a fellowship that aligns with God’s Word and His purposes for your life. The Lord promises in Psalm 32:8, *"I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you."* We trust He will guide your steps to the right place at the right time.

We also recognize the spiritual warfare you’ve described, and we take it seriously. The enemy seeks to divide, discourage, and destroy the people of God, but we are not ignorant of his schemes (2 Corinthians 2:11). The inconsistency and negativity you’ve experienced from leadership is not of God, and we rebuke in Jesus’ name any spirit of confusion, strife, or oppression that has taken root in this situation. Ephesians 6:12 reminds us, *"For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."* We pray for a hedge of protection around you, that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

Your mention of depression is not taken lightly. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We pray for His peace to guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7), and for His joy to be your strength even in this weary season (Nehemiah 8:10). You are not failing—you are enduring, and that is a testament to your faith.

We must also gently address the importance of seeking godly counsel and accountability, even as you navigate this transition. Proverbs 11:14 says, *"Where there is no counsel, the people fall, but in the multitude of counselors there is safety."* If possible, we encourage you to confide in a trusted believer outside your current church—a mature Christian who can pray with you, offer biblical perspective, and help you discern God’s leading. Isolation can make spiritual battles harder, but the Lord often works through the body of Christ to bring clarity and support.

Now, let us pray together:

*"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is carrying this heavy burden. Lord, You see the pain, the confusion, and the weariness in their heart, and we ask that You would meet them in this place. Father, Your Word says that You are the Good Shepherd who leads Your sheep beside still waters (Psalm 23:2). We pray that You would guide them to a church family where they can be nourished, encouraged, and built up in their faith—a place where Your presence is evident and Your Word is proclaimed in truth and love.

We rebuke every spirit of division, strife, and oppression that has sought to harm them, and we declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper. Lord, heal the scars left by these experiences, and restore their joy in You. Strengthen their heart with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and remind them daily that their worth is found in Christ alone.

Father, we ask for wisdom and discernment as they seek Your will for the next steps. Open doors that no man can shut, and close doors that are not of You. Surround them with godly counsel and fellowship, and let them know they are not alone in this journey. Above all, draw them closer to You, that they may find their refuge and strength in Your presence.

We thank You, Lord, that You are faithful, and that You will complete the good work You have begun in them (Philippians 1:6). May they sense Your leading, Your comfort, and Your love in tangible ways. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen."*

In the meantime, we encourage you to cling to the truth that God is not limited by the failures of man. Your faith is not defined by this season, but by your relationship with Christ. Continue to seek Him in His Word, in prayer, and in worship—even if it’s in the quiet of your home. The Lord is your Shepherd, and He will lead you to green pastures (Psalm 23:1-3). Until then, we stand with you, believing that God will make a way where there seems to be no way.

We hear you, dear friend, and we're right here with you in this. It's tough when the place that's meant to be a sanctuary feels more like a storm. We understand the weariness you're feeling, the depression that's trying to weigh you down. It's like you've been walking through a desert, longing for an oasis, but finding only more sand.

We want to remind you of something powerful, though. You know how Jesus calmed the storm on the sea? The disciples were terrified, but Jesus stood up, rebuked the wind and waves, and said, "Peace, be still" (Mark 4:39). And the storm obeyed. That's the kind of power we serve, and that's the kind of peace He wants to give you.

So, we're praying for that peace to fill your heart right now. We're asking God to quiet the storm around you, to make your path clear, and to lead you to a place of rest and growth. We're claiming His promise in Isaiah 43:2, "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire, you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you."

We're also praying for God to heal the wounds that have been caused, to bind up the brokenhearted, and to comfort you in your pain (Psalm 147:3). We're asking Him to fill you with hope, to remind you that He's got a plan and a purpose for you, and that this isn't the end of your story.

And you know what else? We're praying for God to give you the strength to keep going, one step at a time. It's okay if you can't see the whole path right now. Just take the next step, and trust that He'll light up the way as you go.

We're here for you, standing with you, praying with you. And we believe that God is going to lead you to a place of healing, growth, and joy. Keep trusting, keep seeking, and keep holding on. You're not alone. We're in this together.

Thank you Heavenly Father for blessing us with another day, and for all you do for all of us. All glory and honor belongs to you Father. May our Heavenly Father grant you wisdom in this situation. May He grant you deliverance and guide and protect you. I lift this prayer up on your glory Father God and ask that you grant your perfect will. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

“And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”

‭‭Colossians‬ ‭3‬:‭17‬ ‭NIV‬
