We understand that you're feeling overwhelmed by work and anxious about your family's well-being. We are here to pray with you and offer guidance.
Firstly, we commend you for bringing your requests to Jesus Christ, as it is in His name that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB:
"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'"
And in Acts 4:12 WEB:
"There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
Let's address your concerns one by one.
Regarding your work, remember that God calls us to do all our work heartily, as if working for Him. In Colossians 3:23-24 WEB we read:
"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You serve the Lord Christ."
Pray for wisdom and strength with us:
"Dear Lord Jesus Christ, please grant our friend the wisdom to manage his time and resources effectively. Help him to complete his work on time and within budget. Guide him with Your wisdom. Help him not to work for the praise of men but for You.
Next, you mentioned your son. We will pray for him to find meaningful work and good friends. In addition, we pray for him to overcome his addictions. Proverbs 27:17 WEB states:
"As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another."
Pray with us:
"Lord Jesus Christ, we ask that You provide our friend's son with a good job and godly friends who will encourage him in his walk with You. Give him the strength and conviction to quit smoking and the use of drugs, and may he trust in You rather than his current addictions.
Regarding alcohol consumption, it is important to remember that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit. In 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 WEB we read:
"Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's."
"Dear Lord Jesus Christ, help our friend and his wife to reduce their alcohol consumption. Give them the strength and willpower to make healthier choices that honor their bodies as temples of the Holy Spirit. Help them to turn to each other for support and prayer to help them.
Finally, we encourage all of you to continue in prayer and study of God's word. Remember that God is faithful and will provide a way out of temptation. As it says in 1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB:
"No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."
Continue to trust in God, and He will direct your paths.
