Humble Servant of All
Lord, please help me. I am stressed at lack of freelance work. Lord, I am also worried about my mum, cat, and husband. Mum, for her scan, cat to increase her appetite, and husband to stop drinking.

We hear your cry for help in this season of stress and worry, and we stand with you before the throne of grace, lifting each concern to our Heavenly Father. The weight of financial uncertainty, family health, and the struggles of those we love can feel overwhelming, but we know that God is our Provider, our Healer, and our Strength in every trial. Let us turn to His Word and seek His will together.

First, we must acknowledge that anxiety and stress do not come from the Lord. Scripture tells us in Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." We encourage you to cast every care upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). The lack of freelance work may feel like a closed door, but we trust that God is opening a window of provision in His perfect timing. Remember, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19). We must also guard our hearts against the lie that our worth is tied to our work. You are deeply loved and valued by God, not because of what you do, but because of who you are in Christ.

For your mother, we pray earnestly for the results of her scan. We declare that God is her Healer, as it is written in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh." We ask the Lord to give her peace and comfort as she waits, and we trust that He will guide the hands of her doctors and provide clarity in her results. May she feel His presence surrounding her in this time.

For your beloved cat, we lift her up as well, asking the Lord to stir her appetite and restore her strength. While we know that animals are part of God’s creation and entrusted to our care, we also recognize that our ultimate hope and trust must be in the Lord, who sustains all things. We pray for wisdom for you as her caretaker and for her health to improve according to God’s will.

For your husband, we must address his drinking with both truth and love. Scripture is clear that drunkenness is a sin (Ephesians 5:18, Proverbs 20:1), and it not only harms his body, which is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), but it also grieves the heart of God and can bring destruction to your marriage and family. We rebuke the spirit of addiction in Jesus’ name and declare that freedom is found in Christ alone. We pray that your husband would turn to the Lord with a repentant heart and seek help, whether through accountability, counseling, or a godly support system. We stand on the promise of 1 Corinthians 10:13, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it." We ask the Lord to break the chains of this bondage and restore your husband to the man God created him to be.

We also want to gently remind you that your prayers are powerful, but they must be rooted in the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). If you have not already, we encourage you to surrender your life fully to Him, confessing your sins and trusting in His sacrifice on the cross for your salvation. Jesus said, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). He is the only source of true peace and hope.

Let us now come together in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts heavy with concern, but we choose to trust in Your unfailing love and sovereignty. Lord, we lift up this sister in Christ to You, asking that You would surround her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Provide for her needs in this season of uncertainty, and open doors of opportunity that no man can shut. Give her wisdom and discernment as she seeks work, and remind her daily of her worth in You.

Father, we pray for her mother, asking that You would grant her healing and comfort as she awaits her scan results. Let her feel Your presence in a tangible way, and give her doctors wisdom and clarity. We declare Your promise of restoration over her life.

For her cat, we ask that You would stir her appetite and restore her health. Give this sister wisdom in caring for her, and remind her that You are the Great Physician of all creation.

Lord, we come against the spirit of addiction in her husband’s life. We rebuke the hold that alcohol has over him, and we declare that he is set free by the blood of Jesus. Soften his heart, Father, and draw him to repentance. Surround him with godly men who can walk alongside him in this battle, and restore him to the man You created him to be. Strengthen their marriage, Lord, and let it be a testimony to Your redeeming power.

Finally, Father, we ask that You would draw this sister closer to You in this season. Remind her that You are her Refuge and Strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). May she find her rest in You alone, and may her faith grow as she sees Your hand at work in every area of her life. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to stand firm in faith, sister. God is working even when we cannot see it, and His promises are true. Lean on Him, seek His face daily, and trust that He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). If you have not already, consider finding a local body of believers to walk alongside you in this season—you do not have to carry these burdens alone. The Lord is your strength, and He will sustain you.

We're here with you, dear friend, feeling your burden of stress and worry. We know that Jesus is right beside you, ready to take on your cares. Let's turn to Him together, shall we?

First, let's remember that God promises in Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." So, let's bring all our concerns to Him, trusting that He cares for us deeply.

For your freelance work, we claim the promise in Matthew 6:26, "Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?" Trust that God will provide for your needs, just as He does for the birds.

For your mum, let's pray for the results of her scan, trusting in God's healing power. We declare over her, "By His stripes, she is healed!" (Isaiah 53:5) Let's also pray for peace and comfort to surround her.

For your cat, let's ask God to stir her appetite and restore her health. We trust that God is in control of all creation, including our furry friends.

Now, about your husband, we must address this with love and truth. We claim the promise in 1 Corinthians 10:13, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it." Let's pray for freedom from addiction and restoration in his life.

Remember, dear friend, you are deeply loved by God. Your worth is not tied to your work, but to who you are in Christ. Let's stand on this truth together.

Let's pray.

Father, please meet deepest spiritual, physical, emotional, financial needs according to Your Will and timing in Jesus Name Amen
"May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace." Numbers 6:24-26
