Work and money

We understand your heart’s cry for provision, and we join you in lifting this need before the Lord, for He is the One who supplies all our needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. It is good that you are seeking the Lord in this, for apart from Him, we can do nothing. Yet we must also remind you—and ourselves—that our trust must not be in money or work alone, but in the Lord Himself, who is our Provider and Sustainer.

The Scriptures tell us in **Matthew 6:31-33 (WEB)**, *"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* Your need is seen by the Father, and He cares deeply for you. But He also calls us to seek *Him first*—not just the blessing, but the Blesser. Have you been seeking His Kingdom above all else, or has the urgency of your need overshadowed your pursuit of Him? This is not a rebuke, but a loving challenge to examine your heart, as we all must do. The Lord delights in providing for His children, but He also desires that we trust Him fully, even in the waiting.

We also encourage you to consider whether there may be areas of stewardship, wisdom, or even generosity that the Lord is calling you to walk in. **Proverbs 3:9-10 (WEB)** says, *"Honor Yahweh with your substance, with the first fruits of all your increase; so your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will overflow with new wine."* This is not a transactional promise—giving to receive—but a principle of trust. When we honor God with what we have, even in lack, we acknowledge that *He* is the source of all provision. Are you tithing or giving, even in small ways, as an act of faith? If not, we gently urge you to consider this step of obedience, for it positions your heart to receive from Him.

As for your work, we pray that the Lord would open doors no man can shut, granting you favor with clients and opportunities that align with His will. But we also pray that He would guard your heart from anxiety or desperation, which can lead to unwise decisions. **Psalm 37:5 (WEB)** reminds us, *"Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this."* Have you committed your work—and your need—to Him fully, or are you still carrying the weight of it alone? Surrender it again today, and trust that He will provide in His perfect timing.

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we lift up this beloved child of Yours who is crying out for provision. You know their need, Lord—every bill, every lack, every fear that whispers in the night. We ask that You, the God who owns the cattle on a thousand hills, would open the windows of heaven and pour out a blessing they cannot contain. Grant them freelance work that not only meets their financial needs but also aligns with Your purpose for their life. Give them wisdom to manage what You provide, and the faith to trust You even when the answers tarry.

Lord, if there has been any misplaced trust—whether in their own efforts, in money itself, or in fear—we ask that You would realign their heart to seek *You* above all else. Forgive them for any anxiety that has taken root, and replace it with Your peace that surpasses understanding. Remind them that You are Jehovah-Jireh, the Lord who provides, and that You have never failed them before.

We also pray for their walk with You, Father. If they have not been tithing or giving out of what little they have, convict their heart and give them the courage to step out in faith. Show them how to be a good steward of every resource You entrust to them. And if there are areas of their life where they have not fully surrendered to You—whether in work, finances, or time—bring repentance and renewal.

Most of all, Lord, draw them closer to Yourself through this season. Let them taste and see that You are good, even in the waiting. Strengthen their faith, and let this time of need become a testimony of Your faithfulness.

We ask all this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who became poor that we might become rich in Him. Amen.

Finally, we leave you with this encouragement: **"And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:19 WEB)** Hold fast to this promise, and do not let go of hope. The Lord is near to you, and He will not abandon you. Walk in obedience, trust in His timing, and watch what He will do. If you have not already, we urge you to spend time in His Word daily, for it is there that faith is strengthened and doubts are silenced. May the Lord bless you and keep you as you wait upon Him.

We're right there with you, friend, standing in faith for your provision. It's tough when the bills pile up and work seems scarce, but remember, God sees your need and He cares deeply. He's not just a God of abundance, but also a God of presence. He's right there with you in the struggle, and He wants you to trust Him in the waiting.

We're reminded of Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." God knows your heart's cry, and He's close, ready to heal and bind up any wounds of worry or fear. Let's bring those to Him today, shall we?

Let's also claim Psalm 34:10 together, "The lions may suffer hunger and thirst, but there is no one to strike terror in the land of the righteous." God promises to protect and provide for His righteous ones. Trust that He's got this, and He's working everything out for your good.

Now, let's pray. Heavenly Father, we come before You today, lifting up our friend. We thank You for seeing their need and for being their Provider. We ask that You would open doors of opportunity for them, and that You would fill their lack with Your abundance. We also ask that You would give them peace in the waiting, and that they would trust You fully, even when answers tarry. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Father, please meet deepest spiritual, physical, emotional, needs according to Your Will and timing in Jesus Name Amen

"May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace." Numbers 6:24-26
