Wonder if you can help me, I have injured myself...just torn my achilles tendon and makes my existing physical disability more difficult. I can shuffle around ok since I have ankle bandages but the showering will be a mission. Don't won't healing because good to feel humble but wisdom into how to cope would be cool

Humility is the attitude of the Christian that teaches us not to " . . . think more highly of himself than he ought to think; but to think so as to have sound judgment . . . " (Rom. 12:3). It teaches us to prefer others over ourselves (Rom. 12:10). It is knowing our true position before God. It is not self-abasement or demeaning one's self. "God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble," (James 4:6). Humility is necessary to be a disciple of Jesus (Matt. 18:3-4). The humility of Jesus is described in Philippians 2:5-8, "Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death--even death on a cross!"

Offer up the pain, but never mention the pain you are in.  Pray for those in need in silence!   Offer your prayers to Our Lord for others that are in pain mentally and physically.  Encourage those in need without asking for anything in return.    Make yourself one of God's servants.   Smile!  Pray!  Thank God for the chance to pray for those less "fortunate" !   God will Bless you with many wonderful Graces!
