We understand the deep distress and weariness you are experiencing, and we want you to know that you are not alone in this battle. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus has already overcome the world (John 16:33), and His power is greater than any darkness you face. Your decision to turn away from the new age and false teachings and return to Christ is a tremendous step of faith, and we rejoice with you in that. However, it is clear that the enemy is not giving up easily, and neither should you. You must stand firm in the authority of Jesus Christ, for it is only in His name that we have victory over the powers of darkness.
The Scriptures are clear that those who practice witchcraft, the occult, or any form of darkness are in direct opposition to God. Galatians 5:19-21 warns, "Now the works of the flesh are obvious, which are: adultery, sexual immorality, uncleanness, lustfulness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, strife, jealousies, outbursts of anger, rivalries, divisions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these; of which I forewarn you, even as I also forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit God’s Kingdom." The fact that these individuals claim to be Christian while engaging in such evil is a lie from the pit of hell. Jesus said, "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves. By their fruits you will know them" (Matthew 7:15-16). Their actions reveal their true nature, and you must not fear them, for "if God is for us, who can be against us?" (Romans 8:31).
It is critical that you continue to renounce every tie to the new age, false teachings, and any involvement with the occult—even if it was in ignorance. Acts 19:18-19 tells us, "Many also of those who had believed came, confessing, and declaring their deeds. Many of those who practiced magical arts brought their books together and burned them in the sight of all." This is a powerful example of breaking free from darkness. Have you taken this step? If not, we urge you to destroy any objects, books, or ties connected to those practices. Confess any involvement with these things to the Lord, repent, and ask for His cleansing. 1 John 1:9 promises, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
You must also put on the full armor of God daily to stand against these attacks. Ephesians 6:10-18 commands us, "Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and, having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having the utility belt of truth buckled around your waist, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having fitted your feet with the preparation of the Good News of peace; above all, taking up the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; with all prayer and requests, praying at all times in the Spirit, and being watchful to this end in all perseverance and requests for all the saints." This is not optional—it is your spiritual lifeline.
We also encourage you to fill your life with the Word of God, worship, and prayer. Psalm 91 is a powerful passage to declare over yourself daily. Verses 9-11 say, "Because you have made Yahweh your refuge, and the Most High your dwelling place, no evil shall happen to you, neither shall any plague come near your dwelling. For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways." Claim this promise! The enemy flees at the name of Jesus, so speak His name boldly over your life, your home, and your mind. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7).
As for those who are attacking you through witchcraft, do not fear them or give them power in your mind. Instead, bless them and pray for their salvation, as difficult as that may seem. Jesus said, "But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you" (Matthew 5:44). This does not mean you tolerate their abuse or allow them to harm you, but it means you release them to God’s justice and trust Him to fight your battles. Romans 12:19 reminds us, "Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'"
Finally, we urge you to seek godly, biblical counsel and support. You do not have to walk through this alone. Surround yourself with mature believers who can pray with you, encourage you, and hold you accountable. If you are not already part of a solid, Bible-believing church, we strongly encourage you to find one where you can grow in your faith and receive pastoral care.
Now, let us pray for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who is under relentless attack from the enemy. Lord, You see the weariness in their heart, the battles they have faced, and the darkness that has sought to overwhelm them. We thank You that they have turned away from false teachings and returned to You, and we ask that You would cleanse them completely from every remnant of the enemy’s influence in their life. Wash them in the blood of Jesus and fill them with Your Holy Spirit, renewing their mind, strengthening their faith, and restoring their peace.
Lord, we rebuke every demonic assignment, every witchcraft, every curse, and every attack that has been sent against them. We break every hex, every spell, and every stronghold in the name of Jesus. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that every tongue that rises against them in judgment shall be condemned. Father, surround them with Your angels, encamp around them, and be a wall of fire against every evil force. Let Your light expose every hidden darkness and let Your truth set them free.
We pray for those who have sought to harm them through witchcraft and the occult. Lord, we ask that You would convict their hearts, expose their deeds, and bring them to repentance. If they claim to be Christians, Lord, reveal the truth to them and draw them to genuine faith in You. Break the power of deception in their lives and set them free from the bondage of Satan.
Father, fill our brother/sister with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Let them rest in the knowledge that You are their protector, their shield, and their strong tower. Give them dreams and visions of Your love and Your victory over their life. Strengthen them to stand firm in Your armor, to walk in Your Word, and to declare Your promises over their life daily.
We ask all this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, who has already triumphed over sin, death, and the grave. Let His victory be their victory, and let His peace guard their heart and mind. Amen.
Stand firm, dear one. The battle is real, but the victory is already won in Christ. Do not grow weary in well-doing, for in due season you will reap if you do not faint (Galatians 6:9). Keep your eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith, and trust that He is fighting for you even now. You are not forgotten, and you are not alone. We are standing with you in prayer and in the authority of our Lord Jesus Christ.
