We hear the deep distress in your heart, and we stand with you in fervent prayer, believing that the power of Jesus Christ is greater than any darkness. The Bible is clear that witchcraft is an abomination to the Lord, and we must take a firm stand against it in the name of Jesus. "For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as idolatry and teraphim" (1 Samuel 15:23 WEB). The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came so that we may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10 WEB).
First, we must address the spiritual authority you have in Christ. If you have not already, we urge you to repent of any sin in your life, including any involvement with or tolerance of occult practices, and fully surrender your home and life to Jesus. "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you" (James 4:7 WEB). Jesus’ name is the only name by which we have access to the Father, and it is the name above every name (Philippians 2:9-11 WEB). There is no salvation, no deliverance, and no victory apart from Him. Father, we pray for the salvation and deliverance of anyone involved in these practices. "Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: sexual immorality, uncleanness, depraved passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry; for which things’ sake the wrath of God is coming on the children of disobedience" (Colossians 3:5-6 WEB).

Your cry for peace and deliverance in your home has been heard, and we join with you in seeking the Lord who alone can deliver from the power of darkness.
We know what it is to have the peace of a household disturbed, for even one who brings in that which is contrary to the fear of God may eat as a canker into the very vitals of the peace of the family. What you describe is not a light thing, and it is right to bring it before the throne of grace. The Scripture says, He has delivered us from the power of darkness, and that deliverance is as much the work of God as is deliverance from the guilt of sin. We must look to our heavenly Father altogether and alone for it.
There is good hope for you, for God has not only invented a way of deliverance, but He has found a ransom. Then He is gracious unto him, and says, Deliver him from going down to the Pit, I have found a ransom. The King's own Son has borne the penalty, and through His blood there is power to save from sin, from the devil, and from evil company. Nobody would have thought of that way of deliverance if God had not thought of it, and it is a gift of Divine love to all who trust in Christ.
So we pray for you, that the Lord would strengthen the bars of your gates and give peace within your borders. We ask that He would keep back your soul from the Pit and deliver you from every influence that would hide the light and trouble your home. May He grant you that perfect peace which comes to the mind that is stayed upon Him because it trusts in Him, even when sorrows surge around.
We pray that the Lord Jesus Christ would be your refuge and your deliverer in your home, that He would drive out all that is dark and unholy, and fill your dwelling with His own presence and with the finest of spiritual wheat. Your prayer has been heard and I join you in bringing it before the Lord Jesus Christ with compassion for the distress you are carrying in your home.
I understand you feel oppressed and troubled by the presence and influence of this person whose name begins with F, and you desire peace and holiness in your household. Your cry for help is heard and I understand how distressing it is to feel that your home, which should be a place of peace, has become a place of conflict and spiritual heaviness. God does hear prayer, and He wants to bless and to keep His people from evil, but the power of prayer rests on relationship with Him.
Effective prayer begins with being able to truly call God Father through faith in Jesus Christ. If that relationship is not yet settled, the first and most important prayer is simply, God be merciful to me a sinner. When we come to Him through Jesus, we are brought into His family, and that opens the way for prayer that reaches heaven. Apart from that relationship, prayer has no foundation.
When we do pray, the pattern Jesus gave us shows that our first concern is not our own wants but the kingdom of God and His will being done on earth as it is in heaven. It is right to bring personal needs to Him, He invites us to ask for protection and to say, keep me from evil so that it will not bring grief, because turning aside from His path always ends in grief. Yet prayer is not a tool to make God do what we want. Its purpose is to see His will accomplished. So we bring our distress to Him and ask for His will to be done in our home and in every life under our roof.
There is also an important difference between asking only for deliverance and asking for the presence of Christ Himself. To ask only to get rid of a person or a problem can be the most harmful approach if the heart remains empty. When Jesus Christ is invited to enter and to rule in a life and in a home, the darkness must go. What we need most is not just removal of what is troubling us but the entrance of His light, His truth and His peace. Jesus prayed that His own would be kept from the evil that fills this world and that they would be set apart through the truth, for His Word is truth. A home filled with His Word, with prayer and with His presence is washed and guarded in a way nothing else can provide.
That also touches how we speak in a difficult situation. The tongue has great power for blessing or for great harm. From the same mouth can come praise to God and cursing of people made in His image. Scripture urges us to keep the tongue from evil and the lips from deceit, to turn from evil and do good, to seek peace and pursue it. Even when we feel deeply hurt or angry, and even when we believe someone is involved in evil practices, we are called to guard our words, to not repay evil for evil, and to follow what is good. This does not mean we ignore wrong or remain without boundaries, but it means we do not let our speech itself become a source of evil.
God is looking for people to bless and for places to work, and He often works through the prayers of His people together. It helps to have trusted, mature believers who can pray with you, who you can be honest with about the struggle, and who can stand with you in prayer for wisdom, protection and peace. Open your home to the Word and to prayer. Effective prayer begins with being able to truly call God Father through faith in Jesus Christ. If that relationship is not yet settled, the first and most important prayer is simply, God be merciful to me a sinner. When we come to Him through Jesus, we are brought into His family, and that opens the way for prayer that reaches heaven. Apart from that relationship, prayer has no foundation.
When we do pray, the pattern Jesus gave us shows that our first concern is not our own wants but the kingdom of God and His will being done on earth as it is in heaven. It is right to bring personal needs to Him, He invites us to ask for protection and to say, keep me from evil so that it will not bring grief, because turning aside from His path always ends in grief. Yet prayer is not a tool to make God do what we want. Its purpose is to see His will accomplished. So we bring our distress to Him and ask for His will to be done in our home and in every life under our roof.
There is also an important difference between asking only for deliverance and asking for the presence of Christ Himself. To ask only to get rid of a person or a problem can be the most harmful approach if the heart remains empty. When Jesus Christ is invited to enter and to rule in a life and in a home, the darkness must go. What we need most is not just removal of what is troubling us but the entrance of His light, His truth and His peace. Jesus prayed that His own would be kept from the evil that fills this world and that they would be set apart through the truth, for His Word is truth. A home filled with His Word, with prayer and with His presence is washed and guarded in a way nothing else can provide.
That also touches how we speak in a difficult situation. The tongue has great power for blessing or for great harm. From the same mouth can come praise to God and cursing of people made in His image. Scripture urges us to keep the tongue from evil and the lips from deceit, to turn from evil and do good, to seek peace and pursue it. Even when we feel deeply hurt or angry, and even when we believe someone is involved in evil practices, we are called to guard our words, to not repay evil for evil, and to follow what is good. This does not mean we ignore wrong or remain without boundaries, but it means we do not let our speech itself become a source of evil.
God is looking for people to bless and for places to work, and He often works through the prayers of His people together. It helps to have trusted, mature believers who can pray with you, who you can be honest with about the struggle, and who can stand with you in prayer for wisdom, protection and peace. Open your home to the Word and to prayer.
