Witch at work.

Beloved of All
My coworker is into witchcraft. She recently has started up trouble and rumors amongst the staff. She reported someone for harrasement but I was there and know she lied and is mostly upset that she didnt get her way. The manager is still taking it seriously but shes someone I want to be careful with. Please pray over this situation. Pray for truth to come to light for it to be exposed and for her lies and deception to not work on the higher ups and please pray for my coworker that she has reported.

Business Life
Business life sharpens character and demands you use that strength for Christ’s work.
We join you in bringing this difficult workplace situation before the Lord and we thank you for asking us to pray with you. We hear your concern for truth and justice and for your coworker who has been falsely accused, and we also hear your discernment about the spiritual danger of witchcraft.

The Bible is very clear that witchcraft and sorcery are not harmless practices but are an abomination to God. Deuteronomy 18:10-12 says there shall not be found with you anyone who practices divination or sorcery or witchcraft, for whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh. Galatians 5:19-21 also lists sorcery among the works of the flesh and warns that those who practice such things will not inherit God’s Kingdom. We do not wrestle against flesh and blood alone, but against spiritual forces, for Ephesians 6:12 says our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. At the same time we do not need to live in fear of curses or manipulation, because 1 John 4:4 reminds us that he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world, and when we put on the whole armor of God we can stand firm, Ephesians 6:11.

We also recognize the seriousness of lies, false witness and stirring up division. Proverbs 12:22 says lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh, but those who do the truth are his delight. Proverbs 19:5 says a false witness shall not be unpunished, and he who pours out lies shall not go free. The Lord sees what is done in secret and He promises that truth will be revealed. Luke 8:17 says for nothing is hidden that will not be revealed, nor anything secret that will not be known and come to light, and Luke 12:2 says there is nothing covered up that will not be revealed, nor hidden that will not be known. We can trust God to expose deception in His timing even when managers and higher ups do not yet see it clearly.

We encourage you to walk wisely and blamelessly in this situation. Matthew 10:16 calls us to be wise as serpents and harmless as doves. That means speaking the truth in love, not joining in gossip or rumors, documenting what you have actually seen, and being willing to give an honest and calm account if your manager asks you directly. Exodus 20:16 commands you shall not give false testimony against your neighbor, and that applies to standing for the truth as well as refusing to lie. Do not seek revenge, for Romans 12:19 says vengeance belongs to the Lord, but continue to do good and pray for those involved. Matthew 5:44 says love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you.

We also want to lovingly point out that your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to remind you that it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and that our prayers are heard. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. Acts 4:12 says there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is by putting our faith in Jesus Christ, His death and resurrection for our sins, that we are reconciled to God and can come boldly to His throne. If you have not already done so, we encourage you to trust in Him fully for salvation and for daily help.

We pray together with you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, and we thank You that You see all things and You love justice and truth. We ask You to shine Your light on this workplace situation and let the truth come to light. Expose every lie and false report and let deception not take hold among the managers and higher ups. Give the managers wisdom and discernment, for James 1:5 says if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. Protect the coworker who has been falsely reported from harm to his reputation and his job, comfort him and let him know You are his defender, for Psalm 91:1 says he who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. Guard our brother or sister who is witnessing this and give them courage to speak truth with grace and to remain pure from gossip and strife.

We also lift up the coworker who is involved in witchcraft and in spreading lies. Lord, we rebuke the spirit of witchcraft and deception and we ask You to break its influence in that workplace. Have mercy on her soul, convict her of sin, and draw her to repentance and to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, that she may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God. We pray that no weapon formed against Your people will prosper and that Your peace will rule in that workplace.

Help us all to put on the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, and to stand firm in Christ. We ask all of this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.

We are praying with you in this, it is a hard place to be when you saw what happened, you care about your coworker who was reported, and you also need to be wise about how you navigate things with your manager and the rest of the staff.

Wanting truth to be clear and for people to be treated fairly is right, and it makes sense you would feel caught in the middle while rumors are spreading. These kinds of workplace conflicts can escalate quickly when there is misunderstanding or exaggeration, and staying steady often matters more than trying to fix everything at once.

One thing that can help is to keep your part simple and factual. If you are asked about what you witnessed, share only what you personally saw and heard, with dates and details written down privately for yourself. It helps to stay out of the rumor circle as much as you can, not repeating what others say, and to be quietly supportive of the coworker who was reported without putting yourself in a position where you appear to be campaigning against the other coworker. If you have a trusted supervisor or HR process, follow that process calmly rather than trying to handle it informally with the team.

Father, we bring this workplace before You and ask for Your peace over it. Give wisdom and discernment to the managers as they listen, protect those who have been hurt by what was said, and lead what is true to become clear in Your way and timing. Guard our friend with calm and integrity at work, and draw each person involved toward Your truth and grace. In Jesus' name, amen.

The burden you have laid before the Lord is one that grieves the heart, for where falsehood and the works of darkness enter, there is trouble and confusion. You describe a fellow labourer who walks in the way of witchcraft, which is not a thing to be trifled with, but a turning aside from the living God to seek after lying vanities, and who now has spoken what you know to be untrue, to the hurt of another.

Know this, that our God is a God of truth. His very name is abundance in goodness and truth, and He cannot lie. Sooner shall heaven and earth pass away than one word of His shall fall to the ground, and He has declared that lying lips are an abomination to Him. There is nothing that can take the place of the simplicity of Divine Truth, and that truth abides. Christ did not merely speak the truth, He was Truth, transparent from head to foot, truth in word and truth in deed. Where witchcraft and deception are indulged, there is a grave error at the root, a fatal ignorance concerning the Gospel, for men love darkness rather than light. We cannot ask God to bless what He calls sin, but we may and must pray that the sinner may be saved.

This truth ought to take from you all fear of man. Why should you, O believer, be afraid of man that shall die, or the son of man who is but a worm. It is always well to know the truth of God so certainly that you are able to remember it just when you most need it, and this is such an hour. Be valiant for God and for His truth. While you are careful in your walk, as you ought to be, do not join hands with falsehood to preserve peace. True Christianity was never promoted by saying a false thing, and even to exaggerate truth is to beget error. Bear a faithful witness to what you have seen and heard, with meekness and without malice, and leave the issue with the Lord, who judges righteously.

Let us pray together.

O Lord God of truth, who hates all false ways, You see what is done in secret and You bring to light the hidden things of darkness. We ask that You would cause truth to come forth as the noon day in this workplace. Let no lie prosper before those who bear rule, but give to managers and to all in authority eyes to see clearly and wisdom to judge justly. Cover with Your hand the one who has been falsely accused, comfort him and vindicate him, and let no weapon of slander prosper against him. Keep the one who has brought this request, give prudence to the lips and steadiness to the steps, that all may be done honestly and in the fear of God.

And, O merciful Father, we pray for the woman who is ensnared by witchcraft and who now walks in deceit. Have mercy upon her soul. Show her that she is sick and needs the Physician, for they that are whole need not a physician, but they that are sick. Open her eyes to see that there is no place where truth can be found in its power and life except in Jesus Christ, whose blood alone can wash away what is false and whose Spirit alone can eradicate what is dark and vile. Grant her repentance and faith, that she may turn from her witchcraft and from her lies, and find real pardon through the real atonement of Your Son. Bring her out of darkness into Your marvellous light.

We ask that You would strengthen faith in this storm, that fear may go and faith may come in, and that all concerned may learn to buy the truth and sell it not, to hold it in doctrine, in experience, and in practice. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and through whom alone is salvation. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We join you in prayer over this difficult and tense situation at your workplace and we ask God to bring truth and peace where there has been confusion and strife.

We pray that the Lord, who loves truth and hates falsehood, will cause what is hidden to be made known in His timing. We ask Him to guard the hearts and minds of your managers and those in authority, that they would seek wisdom, act justly, and not be swayed by rumors or deception, but would judge with fairness and careful examination. As the Scripture says, every matter should be established by two or three witnesses, and every idle word will be accounted for before God, so we pray for a just and thorough process.

We pray for protection for you and for the coworker who has been reported. We ask God to shield that person from harm to their name and work, to comfort them in this accusation, and to vindicate them if they have been falsely accused. We pray you will be given grace to act wisely, to speak the truth in love without adding to gossip, to be careful and above reproach in all you do, and to leave vengeance and judgment to God while doing what is right and peaceable as far as it depends on you.

We also pray with deep concern for your coworker who is involved in witchcraft and who you believe has spoken falsely. We do not pray that God would bless her deception or her practices, for witchcraft is darkness and opposed to the truth of Christ, but we pray for her soul. We ask that God would have mercy on her, open her eyes to see her need for a Savior, convict her of sin, and draw her away from darkness into the light of Jesus Christ, in whom alone there is salvation and forgiveness. We pray she would turn from lies and from seeking power apart from God, and come to know His grace and truth.

We ask the Lord to give you courage, discernment, and calm in the days ahead, to keep you from anxiety and rivalry, and to help you walk with integrity before Him. May He guide you to speak when it is right to speak and to remain quiet when it is right to remain quiet, and may He be your defender and refuge.

We will continue to bring this before the Lord, asking that truth would prevail, that justice would be done with mercy, and that Christ would be made known even in this hard place.

Thank you for sharing this burden so honestly and for wanting to handle it in a way that honors God. Working alongside deception and rumors is painful, and it is wise to be careful when someone is using false claims to gain influence, especially when another coworker's reputation is at stake.

God has established what is true and right, and He does not change that standard to fit a person's preferences or disappointments. People often try to twist the standard to excuse what they want, but truth itself does not shift. Jesus said He is the way, the truth, and the life, and that His words remain when everything else passes away. The truth dwells in those who know Him and it endures forever, while falsehood is temporary. That is why walking in truth matters so much, and why there is such joy when God's people choose to walk in truth even under pressure.

Scripture often warns about false words and false teachers, and one reason they are so dangerous is that they do not always sound completely false. They often mix a great deal that sounds true with what is not true, which makes the deception harder to see at first. The way to discern is to look at the fruit and to hold everything up to the Word of God. What is done in darkness is not hidden from the Lord, and over time what is false is exposed. There are examples in Scripture of those who sought prominence through self promotion and untrue words, and their character became plain as time went on. In the same way, lies told in the workplace may seem to work for a moment, but God sees and He is able to bring what is hidden into the light.

You can be a helper of the truth in this situation by continuing to walk in truth yourself. That means not returning rumor for rumor, speaking honestly without exaggeration, and entrusting the outcome to God. Pray for wisdom for your managers, that they would have discernment and not be swayed by manipulation, and that they would handle the harassment report with fairness and care for everyone involved. Pray for the coworker who was reported, that God would protect his or her name and give peace while the matter is examined.

And pray also for the coworker who is involved in witchcraft and who has caused this division. That path does not lead to life, and those who follow it are in need of the same grace that all of us need. Pray that she would encounter the truth of who Jesus Christ is, that God is truly God come in the flesh to save, and that she would turn from darkness to the light of the gospel and find forgiveness and new life in Him. Pray that the influence of deception in your workplace would be broken and that grace, mercy and peace in truth and love would mark how you and others respond.

Father, we bring this workplace before You. You love truth and You see all that is happening. We ask that what is true would be made clear to those in authority, that lies would not prevail, and that the person who has been falsely accused would be protected and vindicated in Your timing. Give wisdom, calm and courage to the one who wrote this request, help him or her to walk in truth and love without fear. And we ask for mercy for the coworker who is practicing witchcraft and spreading deception, that You would open her eyes to the truth of Jesus, draw her to repentance, and deliver her from spiritual darkness. Let Your truth be known and let Your peace guard every heart involved. In Jesus name we pray, amen.
