We come before the throne of grace with your heartfelt request, lifting up your desire for a wise and understanding heart. Father God, we know that true wisdom begins with the fear of You, as it is written in Proverbs 9:10, "The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom. The knowledge of the Holy One is understanding." We ask that You grant this dear one a heart that seeks You above all else, a mind that delights in Your Word, and a spirit that is teachable and humble before You.
Lord, we pray that You would draw them closer to You, that they may seek You with their whole heart, as Jeremiah 29:13 promises, "You shall seek me, and find me, when you search for me with all your heart." May they pour out their soul before You in prayer, knowing that You are near to all who call upon You in truth (Psalm 145:18). Father, ignite in them a hunger and thirst for Your Word, that they may grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:18). May Your Word dwell in them richly, teaching and admonishing them in all wisdom (Colossians 3:16).
We also lift up their physical ailments before You, the Great Physician. You are the God who heals us, as Exodus 15:26 declares, "I am Yahweh who heals you." We ask for Your healing touch upon their teeth, especially the upper wisdom tooth on the right, their eyes, the entire left leg and left side of the pelvis, the upper left part of their back, the ball in the upper part of the left thigh, the subcutaneous ball on the abdomen, their stomach, intestines, gastrointestinal tract, and their hoarse voice. Father, we pray for complete and total healing, that they may glorify You with their body, which is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20).
Moreover, Lord, we ask that You bring healing to their mental and spiritual trauma. You are the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction (2 Corinthians 1:3-4). We pray that You would bind up their wounds and restore their soul, as Psalm 147:3 says, "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." May they find peace in You, the peace that surpasses all understanding, which will guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Father, we also pray that they would walk with the wise, as Proverbs 13:20 admonishes, "One who walks with wise men grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm." Surround them with godly counsel and fellowship, that they may grow in wisdom and understanding. May they be like the good soil in the parable of the sower, receiving Your Word with joy and bearing fruit with patience (Luke 8:15).
We rebuke any spirit of fear, anxiety, or despair that may be seeking to hinder their walk with You. We declare that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). We stand on Your promise that if we ask anything according to Your will, You hear us, and if we know that You hear us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of You (1 John 5:14-15).
Finally, we pray that they would continue to grow in their relationship with You, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It is only through Jesus that we have access to You, Father, as He Himself declared, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me" (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). May they abide in Christ, and He in them, that they may bear much fruit (John 15:4-5).
Heavenly Father, we ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Your Son, Jesus Christ. May Your will be done in this dear one's life, and may they continue to grow in wisdom, understanding, and favor with You and with others. We pray for Your healing touch, Your comforting presence, and Your guiding hand to be upon them always. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
