wise and understanding heart

Beloved of All
I had problems with pornography, masturbation, flirting (with the opposite sex) and sexual sins... Now there is a great improvement! Let us give all the glory and thanks for this to the Lord Jesus Christ! But there is still a great need for more improvement (lasting and true) for the glory of God! Let us pray for this...Please pray that God will help me and guide me to do whatever it takes to remove these sins forever from my life and heart, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Let us pray that God will also work, renew my mind, make me very wise, so that these sins will forever be far from me, in the Name of Jesus Christ! Let us pray that God will show me mercy, speak to me, give me understanding and deliverance. I really prayed and cried a lot...😭

We rejoice with you in the victory and improvement the Lord has already brought into your life! It is a testament to His power and your surrender to Him, and we give all glory, honor, and thanks to our Lord Jesus Christ, for it is by His strength alone that we overcome the snares of the enemy. Your heart’s cry for lasting transformation is one that aligns with God’s will, for He desires that we walk in holiness, free from the bondage of sin. The battle you face is one many believers encounter, but take heart—our God is faithful, and He will complete the good work He has begun in you.

The sins you mention—pornography, masturbation, and flirtation—are not merely struggles of the flesh but are tools the enemy uses to distort God’s design for purity, intimacy, and relationships. The Word of God is clear that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and we are called to flee from sexual immorality. As it is written in 1 Corinthians 6:18-20, *"Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."* This is not a call to shame but to freedom—the freedom found in Christ, who breaks every chain.

Your desire for wisdom and a renewed mind is beautiful, for it is through the renewing of our minds that we are transformed. Romans 12:2 tells us, *"Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God."* This renewal comes as we immerse ourselves in Scripture, pray without ceasing, and fill our hearts with what is pure, lovely, and praiseworthy (Philippians 4:8). Wisdom, too, is a gift from God, and He gives it generously to those who ask in faith. James 1:5 assures us, *"But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him."*

We must also address the spiritual warfare at play here. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus has already disarmed the powers and authorities (Colossians 2:15). You are not fighting this battle alone—greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Put on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18), stand firm in prayer, and resist the devil, knowing that he will flee from you (James 4:7). Confess your struggles to trusted believers who can pray for you and hold you accountable (James 5:16). There is power in bringing sin into the light, for darkness cannot withstand it.

Now, let us lift you up in prayer, standing in agreement with you for complete and lasting deliverance:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother who seeks Your face with a humble and repentant heart. Lord, we thank You for the victory he has already experienced, for it is by Your power that he has overcome the snares of the enemy. We give You all the glory, for You alone are worthy.

Father, we ask that You continue the work of sanctification in his life. Cleanse him from every trace of sexual immorality, and create in him a pure heart, O God (Psalm 51:10). Renew his mind daily by the washing of Your Word, and fill him with Your wisdom so that he may walk in discernment and righteousness. Let him not be conformed to the patterns of this world but transformed by the power of Your Spirit.

Lord, we pray that You would expose every lie of the enemy and replace it with Your truth. When temptation comes, remind him that his body is Your temple and that he is called to honor You in all things. Give him the strength to flee from sin and the courage to walk in obedience, even when it is difficult.

We rebuked every spirit of lust, impurity, and deception that seeks to ensnare him. By the authority of Jesus Christ, we command these spirits to flee and never return. Fill him instead with Your Holy Spirit, that he may be empowered to live a life that brings You glory.

Father, surround him with godly brothers who will encourage him, pray for him, and hold him accountable. Let him not walk this path alone but be strengthened by the body of Christ. Give him a deep hunger for Your Word and a passion for prayer, that he may grow ever closer to You.

We ask for Your mercy and grace to abound in his life. Speak to him, Lord, in ways he cannot ignore. Give him understanding and revelation of Your love, that he may know the depth of Your forgiveness and the power of Your resurrection. Let him walk in the freedom for which Christ has set him free (Galatians 5:1).

Finally, Father, we pray that You would guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Let him fix his eyes on You, the author and perfecter of his faith (Hebrews 12:2). May his life be a testimony of Your transforming power, that others may see Your goodness and turn to You.

We ask all these things in the precious and mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.

Brother, continue to press into the Lord with all your heart. The road to freedom is not always easy, but it is worth it. Every moment spent in prayer, every verse memorized, and every temptation resisted in the power of the Spirit is a step closer to the life God has called you to. He is faithful, and He will do it (1 Thessalonians 5:24). Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap a harvest of righteousness if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9).

If there are areas of your life where you have not fully surrendered, lay them before the Lord now. Ask Him to reveal any hidden strongholds and to give you the grace to turn from them. Remember that confession and repentance are not signs of weakness but of faith—faith that God’s power is greater than your struggle.

We are standing with you in this fight, and we believe that the Lord will bring you to complete victory. Keep your eyes on Jesus, and trust that He who began this good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus (Philippians 1:6). You are not defined by your struggles but by the blood of Christ, which has cleansed you and set you free. Walk in that freedom, and let your life bring glory to His name.

Lord Jesus, we come to You, believing in Your power to deliver and transform. Give him a hunger for Your Word and a passion for prayer, that he may grow in wisdom and discernment. Help him to resist the enemy's temptations and to walk in obedience, even when it's difficult.

We also pray for Your mercy and grace to abound in his life. Speak to him, Lord, in ways he can't ignore. Give him understanding and revelation of Your love, that he may know the depth of Your forgiveness and the power of Your resurrection. We're standing with you, believing in your complete victory in Christ.
