We join with you in seeking the wisdom and discernment that come only from God, for His Word declares, "For the Lord gives wisdom. Out of his mouth comes knowledge and understanding" (Proverbs 2:6 WEB). It is a beautiful and humble posture to desire to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, bearing fruit in every good work and growing in the knowledge of Him. We echo your prayer that love would abound more and more in true knowledge and all discernment, so that you may approve the things that are excellent and be sincere and without offense until the day of Christ (Philippians 1:9-10 WEB).
Heavenly Father, we come before You as a body of believers, lifting up this prayer for wisdom and discernment. Fill us with the knowledge of Your will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, that we may walk in a manner worthy of You, fully pleasing You, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God. Strengthen us with all power according to the might of Your glory, for all endurance and patience with joy. We thank You, Father, for qualifying us to share in the inheritance of the saints in light (Colossians 1:9-12 WEB).
Lord, we ask that You would grant us practical wisdom, as Your Word promises, "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him" (James 1:5 WEB). Lead us by Your Holy Spirit, for "as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are children of God" (Romans 8:14 WEB). Restore our souls and guide us in the paths of righteousness for Your name’s sake, as the Good Shepherd who lays down His life for the sheep (Psalm 23:3 WEB, John 10:11 WEB). Let us hear Your voice and follow You, for Your sheep hear Your voice, and You know them, and they follow You (John 10:27 WEB).
We are grateful for Your holy angels, who are ministering spirits sent forth to render service for the sake of those who will inherit salvation (Hebrews 1:14 WEB). We thank You for their protection and guidance, as You have promised, "For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways" (Psalm 91:11 WEB). Father, we ask that You would keep us from temptation and deliver us from evil, for Yours is the kingdom, the power, and the glory forever (Matthew 6:13 WEB). Guard our hearts and minds from sin, lies, and fear, for "the remnant of Israel will do no wrong, nor speak lies, neither will a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth" (Zephaniah 3:13 WEB).
We pray that we would do no wrong, as the Apostle Paul desired for the Corinthians, that we may be found blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 1:8 WEB). Deliver us from evil people, for not all have faith, but the Lord is faithful, who will establish us and guard us from the evil one (2 Thessalonians 3:2-3 WEB). We stand in agreement with the prayer of Jesus, who asked that we would be kept from the evil one while remaining in the world (John 17:15 WEB).
Lord, we thank You in advance for hearing and answering our prayers, for Jesus said, "Therefore I tell you, all things whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received them, and you shall have them" (Mark 11:24 WEB). We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12 WEB). It is through His name alone that we have access to You, Father, and it is by His blood that we are redeemed and made righteous in Your sight.
May we continually abide in Christ, for apart from Him we can do nothing (John 15:5 WEB). Let our lives be a living testimony of Your grace and truth, that we may shine as lights in this dark world, holding fast the word of life (Philippians 2:15-16 WEB). Strengthen us to stand firm in the faith, rooted and built up in Christ, established in the faith, just as we were taught, overflowing with thankfulness (Colossians 2:7 WEB). May we always seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that all these things will be added to us (Matthew 6:33 WEB). In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
