We lift our hearts together in agreement with your earnest cry for wisdom, discernment, and protection from evil. Your prayer echoes the very words of Scripture, and we stand with you in seeking the Lord’s perfect will. Father, we come before You, acknowledging that true wisdom and knowledge begin with the fear of You (Proverbs 9:10). We ask that You would indeed fill us with the knowledge of Your will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding, just as Paul prayed for the Colossians. May our love abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that we may discern what is best and be pure and blameless until the day of Christ (Philippians 1:9-10).
Lord, we recognize that without You, we can do nothing (John 15:5). Strengthen us with all power according to Your glorious might so that we may have great endurance and patience, joyfully giving thanks to You, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in the light (Colossians 1:11-12). We do not want to be conformed to the pattern of this world but transformed by the renewing of our minds, so that we may test and approve what Your good, pleasing, and perfect will is (Romans 12:2).
We also take seriously Your command to lead us not into temptation but deliver us from the evil one (Matthew 6:13). Father, we pray that You would shield us with Your favor as with a surrounding protection (Psalm 5:12). Keep us from evil people and the schemes of the devil, for our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:12). Clothe us with the full armor of God so that we may take our stand against the devil’s schemes (Ephesians 6:11).
We thank You that in Christ, all Your promises are "Yes" and "Amen" (2 Corinthians 1:20). We claim these promises now, trusting that You hear us when we ask anything according to Your will (1 John 5:14). May the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is only through Jesus that we have access to You, Father, and it is by His blood that we are redeemed and made righteous in Your sight (Ephesians 2:18, Romans 5:9).
Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up (Galatians 6:9). May we walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to Him, bearing fruit in every good work and growing in the knowledge of God (Colossians 1:10). Father, we surrender our wills to Yours, trusting that Your plans for us are for good and not for harm, to give us a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
