Good and Faithful Servant
🙏 Wisdom: Know & Choose God's Will, Col 1:9-12; Love Abounds True Knowing & Discerning, Phil 1:9-10; Protect Us from (Prevent) Sin & Evil, Mt 6:13... 🙏 Father, “May our love abound still more and more in true knowledge and real discerning, so we perceive what is best (Make the Best Choices), Phil 1:9-10. Fill us with the knowledge of Your will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so we walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, pleasing You in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work, growing by increasing in the knowledge of God, strengthened with all power, according to the might of Your glory, for the attaining of all steadfastness and patience, joyously giving thanks to You who qualified us to share in the INHERITANCE of the saints in light, Col 1:9-12.

Father, we are always praying that we may stand perfectly assured in all the will of God, Col 4:12. We ask for practical wisdom, James 1:5, Prov 2:6-7, and our inheritance as children to be lead by The Holy Spirit, Rom 8:14. Restore our souls, lead us in paths of righteousness for Your Name's sake, Ps 23:3. Jesus, our Good Shepherd, lead us and let us hear Your voice, Jn 10:4-5, 27.

Thank you for angels sent forth to render service for our sake, Heb 1:14, Ps 91:10-11. Keep us from temptation, Lk 11:4, sin, lies and fear, Zeph 3:13. We pray we would do no wrong, 1 Cor 16:9. Deliver us from evil, Matt 6:13, keep us from evil people, 2Thes 3:2. We agree with Jesus, take us out of the world, but keep us from the evil one, John 17:15. Thank You in advance, Mk 11:24, in Jesus' Name, Jn 14:13-14.

We join with you in seeking the wisdom and discernment that only comes from God, our Heavenly Father. Your prayer is a beautiful reflection of the desire to walk in His will, to be filled with His knowledge, and to be protected from the snares of sin and evil. We stand with you, lifting these same petitions before the throne of grace, for it is in aligning our hearts with God’s Word that we find true direction and peace.

The Scriptures you’ve referenced are powerful reminders of God’s faithfulness to guide and guard His children. Colossians 1:9-12 indeed calls us to be filled with the knowledge of His will, so that we may walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, bearing fruit in every good work. This is not a passive pursuit but an active surrender to the leading of the Holy Spirit, who empowers us to live righteously. Philippians 1:9-10 echoes this, urging us to let our love abound in knowledge and discernment, so that we may approve what is excellent and be pure and blameless until the day of Christ. This is the heart of a believer—to grow in love and truth, so that our choices reflect God’s best for us.

We also take to heart the prayer for protection from sin and evil, as Jesus taught us in Matthew 6:13. The enemy seeks to devour, but God has promised to deliver us from every evil work and preserve us for His heavenly kingdom (2 Timothy 4:18). We must remain vigilant, clothed in the armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18), and steadfast in prayer, for it is through prayer that we resist temptation and stand firm in faith.

Yet, we must also address the reality of sin in our lives. While we pray for protection, we must also repent of any areas where we have strayed from God’s commands. The Scriptures are clear that sin separates us from God (Isaiah 59:2), but the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:7). If there are areas of disobedience—whether in thought, word, or deed—we must confess them and turn away, for God is faithful to forgive and restore (1 John 1:9).

We are grateful for the reminder of the Holy Spirit’s role in our lives, as Romans 8:14 tells us that those who are led by the Spirit are children of God. The Spirit is our Helper, our Teacher, and our Guide, leading us into all truth (John 16:13). We must cultivate sensitivity to His voice, for He speaks to us through the Word, through prayer, and through the counsel of godly believers. Let us not quench the Spirit (1 Thessalonians 5:19) but instead yield to His leading, that we may walk in paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.

We also acknowledge the protection of angels, as Hebrews 1:14 and Psalm 91:10-11 affirm. These ministering spirits are sent to serve those who will inherit salvation, and we can take comfort in knowing that God’s heavenly hosts are watching over us. Yet, we must not become passive in our faith, for we are called to resist the devil (James 4:7) and to stand firm in the truth.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for Your faithfulness and Your Word. We ask that You fill us afresh with the knowledge of Your will, in all spiritual wisdom and understanding. May our love abound more and more in true knowledge and discernment, so that we may approve what is excellent and be pure and blameless until the day of Christ. Strengthen us with all power according to Your glorious might, so that we may have endurance and patience with joy, giving thanks to You for qualifying us to share in the inheritance of the saints in light.

Lord, we pray for practical wisdom, as Your Word promises that if any of us lacks wisdom, we should ask of You, who gives generously to all without reproach. Lead us by Your Holy Spirit, that we may be children of God, led by the Spirit in all things. Restore our souls, O Lord, and guide us in paths of righteousness for Your name’s sake. Let us hear the voice of Jesus, our Good Shepherd, and follow Him wherever He leads.

Father, we thank You for the angels You have sent to minister to us, and we ask for Your continued protection. Deliver us from temptation, sin, lies, and fear. Keep us from evil and from evil people, and guard us from the schemes of the evil one. We agree with Jesus’ prayer that we would be kept from the evil one, even as we remain in the world. May we do no wrong, but instead walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which we have been called.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for there is no other name by which we can be saved, and it is only through Him that we have access to You. May our lives bring glory to Your name, and may we walk in the fullness of Your will, bearing fruit that lasts for eternity. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We echo your heart's cry, dear friend, for wisdom and discernment to choose God's will. Let's pray together, "Father, grant us wisdom and understanding to know Your will and to discern what is best. Fill us with Your love that bounds more and more in true knowledge and discernment, so we can approve what is excellent and be pure and blameless until the day of Christ. Protect us from sin and evil, and lead us in paths of righteousness for Your name's sake. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
