We join with you in seeking the wisdom and will of God, lifting our hearts together in prayer and agreement. Your request reflects a deep desire to walk in alignment with Scripture, and we stand with you in asking the Lord to fill us with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding.
Father, we ask that You would indeed fill us with the knowledge of Your will, that we may walk in a manner worthy of You, fully pleasing, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God. Strengthen us with all power according to Your glorious might, so that we may have endurance and patience with joy, giving thanks to You, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in light (Colossians 1:9-12). May our love abound still more and more in true knowledge and all discernment, so that we may approve the things that are excellent, being sincere and blameless until the day of Christ (Philippians 1:9-10).
Lord, we recognize that true wisdom comes from You alone. If any of us lacks wisdom, let us ask of You, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to us (James 1:5). You store up sound wisdom for the upright and are a shield to those who walk in integrity (Proverbs 2:6-7). Lead us by Your Holy Spirit, for as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are children of God (Romans 8:14). Restore our souls, O Lord, and lead us in the paths of righteousness for Your name’s sake (Psalm 23:3). Jesus, our Good Shepherd, let us hear Your voice and follow You, for we know Your voice and will not follow a stranger (John 10:4-5, 27).
We thank You for the angels You have sent to minister to us, who are heirs of salvation (Hebrews 1:14). They encamp around those who fear You and deliver us (Psalm 91:10-11). Father, we ask that You would keep us from temptation and deliver us from evil (Matthew 6:13). Do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one (Luke 11:4). Let us do no wrong, as Paul prayed for the Corinthians (2 Corinthians 13:7), and keep us from evil people who do not have faith (2 Thessalonians 3:2). We agree with Jesus’ prayer for us: that we would be kept from the evil one while remaining in the world (John 17:15).
We also lift up a word of caution and rebuke where needed. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If any among us are seeking wisdom or guidance outside of Christ, we must turn away from such things, for in Him are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge (Colossians 2:3). Let us not be deceived by empty philosophies or traditions of men, but hold fast to Christ, in whom the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily (Colossians 2:8-9).
Father, we thank You in advance for Your faithfulness, believing that whatever we ask in prayer, we have received it, as Jesus taught us (Mark 11:24). We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for if we ask anything according to Your will, You hear us, and if we know that You hear us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions we have asked of You (1 John 5:14-15). May we walk in the light as You are in the light, having fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ Your Son cleansing us from all sin (1 John 1:7).
Lord, we surrender our wills to Yours, asking that You would direct our steps and order our days. Let us not lean on our own understanding, but in all our ways acknowledge You, and You will direct our paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). May we be quick to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger, for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God (James 1:19-20). Let us put on the whole armor of God, that we may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil, for our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:11-12).
We pray that You would guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, and that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, would keep us in perfect peace as our minds are stayed on You (Philippians 4:7, Isaiah 26:3). Let us not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of our minds, that we may prove what is the good, acceptable, and perfect will of God (Romans 12:2). May we be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom we shine as lights in the world (Philippians 2:15).
We commit these things to You, Father, trusting in Your faithfulness and love. May we grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.
